Barack Obama knows how to deliver a speech, but his acceptance speech was familiar stuff to anyone who has been listening to politicians as long as I have. Permit me a bit of cynicism because sometimes it allows you to separate the wheat from the chaff. It is a bit of luck that Barack Obama's acceptance speech was given on the forty-fifth anniversary of Dr. King's famed 'I've got a dream' speech. That speech brought people together to build a better America, to fulfill its promise of equality. I not only lived through the Civil Rights era, but I actually met Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It was brief, but memorable for me. Dr. King could deliver an inspirational sermon or speech. I often wonder if the civil rights movement would have been as successful if there had not been a Dr. King to lead it. Things might have turned out differently for Barack Obama. I thought it interesting that Barack Obama did not hew that closely to Dr. King's oratorical style in his acceptance speech, but then it occurred to me that he is striving to get people to believe he is just like you and I. He is not. He is the child of an imperfect mother who twice married Muslim men and whose child was literally rescued by two extraordinary grandparents. He is not like you or I. He is half black and half white. He is not like you or I. His intellect opened doors to elite universities, earned scholarships. He is not like you or I. He has never served in the military, nor has he ever held a job that did not require a suit and tie. He is not like a lot of Americans. He was imbued from an early age with the sophistry of Marxism that seeks to impose a government that promises all things to all people from cradle to grave and delivers only a soul-killing slavery to the state. His speech had a central theme and it was jobs. In Obama's world most Americans are out of work. They are not. In Obama's world, corporations are the enemy, not the engine of the economy. In Obama's world, the nation can free itself in ten years from its dependence on oil. No nation on Earth can do that. And $150 billion of your money and mine to the charlatans offering wind and solar power will not produce much more than the one percent of electricity these limited sources of energy currently represent. What America needs is more drilling for oil for our transportation needs, more coal-fired and nuclear plants for the electricity we require, and more natural gas for its many benefits. The other theme of his speech was that the last eight years of the Bush administration were a failure. Is it a failure that we have not been attacked since 9/11? Is it a failure that unemployment remains at a bare five percent, among the lowest in generations? Is a $14 trillion economy a failure? Never mind. Obama is not addressing facts. He is in the business of generating promises like the one to reduce taxes for 95% of working families. That is not going to happen. He promises 'a world class education' for every child, but Teddy Kennedy's failed 'No Child Left Behind Act' is guaranteeing a failed education for the nation's children. He promises higher wages for already well-paid and pensioned teachers despite the fact they are turning out students who cannot spell, cannot do arithmetic, and have no idea of America's real history. Promises are what politicians make. Speeches are what politicians give, but Barack Obama is no Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. For one thing, Dr. King was a registered Republican.

Disregard for the health and comfort of the populace by the Mullahs, who preferred to spend their funds on war and terror instead of the well being of their people has come to roost. Sewage pipes, to the extent they exist. have not been maintained and are leaking their infectious waste into the surrounding soil. Adding their pollutant to the seepage of numberless rudimentary human waste wells dug below almost every building into which toilets pour. Water treatment plants, to the extent they function, fail to deal effectively with dangerous bacteria going through them and water bearing pipes into homes and offices have deteriorated to a point where they allow deadly pollutant from either local or distant seepage to bring in deadly Cholera. Perhaps the decimation of human immunity by the AIDS/HIV epidemic has compounded the Cholera outbreaks across the country by reducing the ability of the populace to resist the UNAVOIDABLE Cholera bacteria. Water used for agriculture usually comes from the underground "ghanat" and deep wells. The latter, formerly pure, may now have been polluted by the huge amount of human waste being allowed into the soil in and around cities. The World Health Organization should take a very immediate and IN DEPTH look at this matter and not be put off by smoke screens to hide this epidemic, which can spread swiftly to other parts of the world. And help prevent thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of innocent Persians inside islamic iran dying at the hands of an uncaring regime. Which happily executes them by the dozen and imprisons and tortures them by the tens of thousands and thus are inured to the suffering they see and cause.

I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their A--, doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Obama advisor Tony Lake has apparently told the media while in Denver that, once elected, Obama intends to hold immediate, unconditional talks with islamic iran's bloody, terrorist regime and their nutcase President Ahmadi-Nejad the Turd. Continuing to follow up on what can be learned of Barack Obama's tenure as the Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), evaluations of the program during his tenure available on line demonstrate that in his only real executive test, Barack Obama was a dismal failure squandering millions of dollars on education programs which had basically no real effect. They also strongly suggest Obama's claim that un-repentant terrorist Bill Ayers is just a teacher who lived down the block is an outright lie. The structure and tone of the CAC, addressed in the documents, leave a strong impression the two men had to work together closely over a number of years. Also, as copies of CAC internal documents were given over to the evaluators, any notion that they now shouldn't be immediately shared with the public is an absolute farce.

Note: Obama has made a totalitarian Communist regime type of effort to suppress any mention of details of any of this, even reportedly with veiled threats.

Given Obama's significant lack of experience, aside from any Ayers connection which Stanley Kurtz continues to pursue, it's doubtful he'd want America to learn any details behind his obviously failed performance during the one time he was expected to perform as an executive in the real world. Obama began his CAC board chairmanship in early 1995, and stepped down from the chairmanship in late 1999, though he remained on the board until CAC phased itself out of existence in 2001. These evaluations cover precisely that period of time. At some points the criticism of the organization Obama led is scathing, particularly as it was primarily tasked with giving away millions of dollars.... ~~snip~~ Reading through the documents gives the impression that as Chairman, Obama did little more than assist the most Leftist of activists in shuffling around millions of dollars, often to themselves in their own misguided initiatives, few if any of them producing real results. In fact, in many people's minds, they were never even designed to. Obama as chair didn't even have the foresight to appoint an Executive Director until some two years on - and then it was only done in response to concerns from others, including the Annenberg Foundation itself. One portion of the document claims they gave money away so fast and so early, the effort may have been doomed from the start - all while Obama was Chair. Another portion of the document demonstrates that a full two years in, relevant independent, concerned members of the education, political and business communities in Chicago didn't even have an effective idea what the challenge was about when asked by evaluators. But that didn't stop Obama and CAC from handing out cash to someone, apparently. When those independent interested parties were asked what it was they believed the Chicago schools needed most, they generally responded in practical terms - improved test scores, better grades and improved overall performance. But the CAC didn't see those things as relevant. It was more focused on fuzzy-headed, presumably liberal ideals expressed as "time, size and isolation" - yet, said ideals were never more properly defined, making it impossible to even know what it is they set out to accomplish through spending all that cash. Is it a wonder Obama and his fifty million had absolutely no impact at all? How's that for fifty-million dollars worth - ultimately under Obama's control? One can only imagine how much he might have squandered were the US treasury involved - God forbid. ~~snip~~ It cannot be emphasized enough that these evaluations speak directly to the only real world executive experience of a gifted rhetorician with incredibly light political experience, hardly any of it at the national level. Note: Obama had 143 days total of Senate experience and mostly voted "present". The rest of his four senatorial years were spent on campaigning. CNN (Communist News Network?) is now saying that the three plus years of campaigning should count toward his executive "experience" to be President and run our nation. That he suddenly somehow fancies himself ready and able to become the chief executive of the United States is a bad joke. Based on these evaluations, it's doubtful he is qualified for a mid-level administrative position within a school district in a mid-sized town. If the mainstream media doesn't follow up on this and the work of Stanley Kurtz and Steve Diamond, it's they who will be playing the worst of jokes on the American people. COMMENTARY: Is it any wonder, therefore, that the opinion of Islam in the West and among so many others - in this MODERN DAY and AGE - is so often encapsulated in this knd of graphic? How can anyone complain that such drawings are insulting when fanatical and way outdated, now barbaric, customs and beliefs are implemented in this way? For such a reason? For wanting a say in choosing your own husband? Alaska was one of the first U.S. states to pass a constitutional ban on gay marriage, in 1998, along with Hawaii. Palin’s first veto was used to block legislation that would have barred the state from granting benefits to gay state employees and their partners. In effect, her veto granted State of Alaska benefits to same-sex couples. The veto occurred after Palin consulted with Alaska’s attorney general on the constitutionality of the legislation. Biden indicated that it would not be his first meeting with Iranian parliamentarians.

But Joe Biden is barely listening anymore. He’s already moved on to something else. First, Iranians aren’t Arabs. Beyond that, what would a check for $200 million have bought us with the Iranians? We know what it would have bought for the Iranians — more resources for the nuclear-weapons program already in progress in Tehran. Bear in mind that this was shortly after the attacks on New York City and Washington had caused billions of dollars in damage and perhaps trillions in economic impact, not to mention the 3,000 lives that terrorists ended on that day. If Biden wanted to spend $200 million, maybe he would have thought to spend it on Americans, and not the nation that even then was the acknowledged leader in financing terrorism around the world. I’m sorry, but a man who thinks it appropriate to send hundreds of millions of dollars — “no strings attached” — to a terror-sponsoring regime in order to make America a supplicant of radicals is no foreign-policy genius. COMMENTARY Maybe it’s a clever plot to tie McCain’s campaign in knots by having to compile “the complete list” of Biden gaffes. They could be collecting embarrassing Biden material from now till election day and never get done. *** I seriously thought that Biden was on the short list as a joke. The man has been a laughing stock in DC forever. Just goes to show you that the Obama campaign is full of idiots. *** It’s a brilliant play by Obama and company. Biden takes all the hits diverting attention away from Barack Obama’s lack of credibility as a Presidential candidate. Even better, the Clinton supporters are ticked, diverting even more attention for The One! Nicely played. *** By the way, Biden is on the record wanting to cut our military by $350 billion so he can fund healthcare, education and the environment (he specifically opposes “Star Wars”). He also wants compulsory public service for men and women (military, Domestic Peace Corps, or foreign peace corps) so if elected it’s fair to say that neither Barack or Biden will let us live our lives as we have before. I’m not sure what a Domestic Peace Corps is supposed to do exactly, but no doubt they could be deployed to check our thermostats and make sure we’re not eating more than our fair share. *** Maybe this will distract us from all the gooddies out there on Obama. Interesting strategy is to pick a VP who is worse than you, thereby making you look better, or something like that… or not… *** I can’t decide whether I’m amused or appalled. Joseph Biden has been a radical-left, collectivist, big-spending, Constitution-hating would-be autocrat from day one. I still remember distinctly during the Brady Law and assault weapons ban debate in 1993, when Biden obstinatly resisted any attempts at compromise- he was determined to launch both as a first step to the abolition of civilian firearms ownership in this country and wasn’t taking “no” for an answer. His finest (?) moment was pounding on the podium and shouting, “This is religious dogma!” regarding the bill as written. (Very Khrushchev-like- sublimate much, Joe?) How this squares with the Obamessiah’s sudden and new-found respect for the right to keep and bear arms is something I would expect the GOP to address in their ads- and the MSM to pretend they don’t know about. The idea that money will buy us love from our enemies is nothing new with Biden, as he was always a big fan of bestowing large checks on the PLO under Arafat without asking what they intended to do with it. And he was also a strong advocate of Clinton’s “AmeriCorps”, which he apparently saw as a cross between the 3-C camps and the Wobblies- both of which he apparently approved of. I think his presence on the ticket mainly proves that the Lightworker is even more arrogant and naive’ that I previously believed. It’s almost like someone told him that he needed a moderate Southern Democrat to “balance” the ticket, and his reasoning went, “Well, Edwards is out, Kerry is too much Teddy’s man… Hey, Delaware is south of Chicago, isn’t it?” What a combination- a presidential candidate who wants you to believe he isn’t a socialist, and a VP candidate who openly acknowledges that he is one every time he opens his mouth. I guess they are the ones they’ve been waiting for. A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission.

The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.

Philip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania.

According to Berg, he filed the suit--just days before the DNC is to hold its nominating convention in Denver--for the health of the Democratic Party.

"I filed this action at this time," Berg stated, "to avoid the obvious problems that will occur when the Republican Party raises these issues after Obama is nominated."

Berg cited a number of unanswered questions regarding the Illinois senator's background, and in today's lawsuit maintained that Sen. Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen or that, if he ever was, he lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia.

Berg also cites what he calls "dual loyalties" due to his citizenship and ties with Kenya and Indonesia.

Even if Sen. Obama can prove his U.S. citizenship, Berg stated, citing the senator's use of a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii verified as a forgery by three independent document forensic experts, the issue of "multi-citizenship with responsibilities owed to and allegiance to other countries" remains on the table.

In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama's mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, "apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight."

As Sen. Obama's own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham--Obama's mother--gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.

Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama's birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals--Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital--in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple "registry of birth" records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.

Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age.

Sen. Obama's mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a "natural born" citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.

Moreover, even if Sen. Obama could have somehow been deemed "natural born," that citizenship was lost in or around 1967 when he and his mother took up residency in Indonesia, where Stanley Ann Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian citizen.

Berg also states that he possesses copies of Sen. Obama's registration to Fransiskus Assisi School In Jakarta, Indonesia which clearly show that he was registered under the name "Barry Soetoro" and his citizenship listed as Indonesian.

The Hawaiian birth certificate, Berg says, is a forgery.

In the suit, the attorney states that the birth certificate on record is a forgery, has been identified as such by three independent document forensic experts, and actually belonged to Maya Kasandra Soetoro, Sen. Obama's half-sister.

"Voters donated money, goods and services to elect a nominee and were defrauded by Sen. Obama's lies and obfuscations," Berg stated. "If the DNC officers ... had performed one ounce of due diligence we would not find ourselves in this emergency predicament, one week away from making a person the nominee who has lost their citizenship as a child and failed to even perform the basic steps of regaining citizenship as prescribed by constitutional laws."

"It is unfair to the country," he continued, "for candidates of either party to become the nominee when there is any question of the ability to serve if elected."
