ISLAMIC CONFORMIST "CLONING" GONE CRAZY.

Will Saudis Ban the Letter ‘X'? By YOUSSEF IBRAHIM January 15, 2007 The letter "X" soon may be banned in Saudi Arabia because it resembles the mother of all banned religious symbols in the oil kingdom: the cross. The new development came with the issuing of another mind-bending fatwa, or religious edict, by the infamous Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice — the group of senior Islamic clergy that reigns supreme on all legal, civil, and governance matters in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The commission's damning of the letter "X" came in response to a Ministry of Trade query about whether it should grant trademark protection to a Saudi businessman for a new service carrying the English name "Explorer." Well, never mind that none of the so-called scholars manning the upper ranks of the religious outfit can speak or read a word of English. But their experts who examined the English word "explorer" were struck by how suspicious that "X" appeared. http://www.nysun.com/article/46707 On a side note, there is reportedly an Islamic sect in Arizona, USA, which lost their spiritual leader about seven or eight years ago to an alleged assassination by a Saudi linked Wahabbist group. Ever since, their mission is apparently to gather strength and declare war on all religions, on all sects or variations of them, even Islamic ones - except their own version. Any wonder we face madness and death in Iraq or Iran?

The Last Bastion Against Terrorism

Do you realize how much our future depends on these two men? On them standing strong for our well-being?

Great picture.

DEFENSE & FOREIGN AFFAIRS - Special Analysis

Defense & Foreign Affairs Special Analysis Founded in 1972. Formerly Defense & Foreign Affairs Daily. Volume XXV, No. 3 Friday, January 12, 2007 © 2007 Global Information System. Contact: GRCopley@StrategicStudies.org Iran Continues to Prepare for Direct Confrontation With the US, Israel Analysis. By GIS Staff. Iran’s divided clerical leadership groups continues to appear united only in attempting to address what they perceive to be the prospect of an imminent US or Israeli military attack, and the major televised address on January 10, 2007, by US Pres. George W. Bush did little to allay those concerns, highlighting as it did the US intent to bolster military deployment in Iraq and to interdict the inflow of weapons and fighters to Iraq from Syria and Iran. Significantly, Iran has not been idle in the build-up to what it expects to be a military confrontation with the US and/or Israel. Included in this have been active operations with forces inside Iran, and attempts to convince the US that the Iranian Armed Forces possessed viable nuclear weapons. With regard to the operations inside Iraq, on January 10-11, 2007, GIS/Defense & Foreign Affairs sources reported that a significant number of Iranian operatives had been captured by Iraqi or Coalition forces inside Iraq in Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan. What was important about this particular capture was the apparent inclusion of Hassan Abbasi, onetime key Advisor to Iranian “Supreme Leader” Ali Khamene’i, and the head of the Center for Doctrinal Strategic Studies. More significantly, he is a key advisor to Pres. Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad. US Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns admitted late on January 11, 2006, that six Iranian officials had been detained in Iraqi Kurdistan, but did not give details. The capture of Abbasi is highly significant: he has been the major hard-line advocate of jihadism within the Iranian clerical Administration, and had personally taken charge of mobilizing recruitment, training, and deployment of jihadi fighters, including the recruitment of children for the task. His movement into Iraqi Kurdistan reflects a mixture of Iranian concern over the ongoing US-led containment of Iran, and — more importantly — confidence that Iranian forces could operate safely inside that part of Iraq. Joint military operations with Turkish forces against Kurdish targets in late 2006, reported exclusively by GIS/Defense & Foreign Affairs, have almost certainly led Iranian officials to believe that they were on the verge of a major military push through Iraq. For details on some joint Iran-Turkey military operations, see Defense & Foreign Affairs Special Analysis, August 30, 2006: Turkey and the Partiya Karkerên Kurdistan (PKK): Preparations for the Confrontation, and May 15, 2006: Insurgency in South-Eastern Turkey; Ankara and Tehran Team to Address Kurdish Issue. For details on Iranian nuclear weapons, see, for example: Defense & Foreign Affairs Daily, November 19, 2002 (various reports on DPRK and Iranian nuclear weapons), and Defense & Foreign Affairs Special Analysis, October 5, 2006: Upcoming DPRK Nuclear Tests Are Integral to Iranian Strategic Move, But Also Force Western Acknowledgement of Impotence to Deal With New Nuclear Threats. NOTE: IRAN'S NUKES link - on AntiMullah site http://noiri.blogspot.com/2006/04/irans-nukes.html Although the US Government reacted moderately sharply to the capture of the six Iranian officials in Iraqi Kurdistan, it played down the significance altogether of the alleged capture of Abbasi, but there can be no under-stating the recklessness with which Tehran committed such a significant figure into hostile territory. It is possible that Tehran, which remains embroiled in a fight for control of the position of the Supreme Leader while facing ongoing domestic unrest, may have been unable to control Abbasi, whose enthusiasm for spreading jihad gives him a degree of independence within the power structure. But at the same time, Iran has, for some years — along with the Government of the DPRK (North Korea) — been working hard to convince the US that it had an arsenal of deployed nuclear and other strategic weapons (albeit, in the case of Iran, nuclear weapons acquired from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, the DPRK, and perhaps other states). However, unlike its allied Government in Pyongyang, the Iranian clerical Government has — perhaps because it still did not have an indigenous production of nuclear weapons — demonstrated a cautiousness about antagonizing the US with an overt display of strategic weapons. An incident which occurred on January 11, 2006, therefore may — or may not — have been an attempt by Tehran to discreetly signal the US that Iran possessed nuclear weapons. The independent website, www.antimullah.com, on January 11, 2006, carried a report entitled Nuclear Event in Iran?, in which it reported “a huge explosion — reportedly nuclear — from the Kerman area at the edge of the Kavir Lut (major desert)”. GIS/Defense & Foreign Affairs sources confirmed that, indeed, signs of a major explosion had been noted by nearby populations. The website took a very circumspect approach to reporting the incident, but noted that “local Islamic Iranian news media reported that a UFO had crashed and blown up to explain the incident”, and GIS also confirmed that reporting. It went on to say: “The explosion took place at what would be the Islamic Regime's testing ground for an atomic weapon.” Some Iranian sources questioned whether the explosion was a “demonstration” not by the Iranian Government, but to it, perhaps by the US or Israel, but GIS sources and analysts have ruled this out almost absolutely. Certainly, however, the US — which, as was the case with its policy toward North Korean nuclear weapons — would be reluctant to acknowledge the presence of nuclear weapons in Iran and would be expected to ignore, or dismiss, any evidence of such an explosion. ALAN's NOTE: in the AntiMullah article about the capture of Hassan Abbasi, it was noted that this man's "Freedom Organizations" umbrella group networks and supports all "anti-imperialism" terror groups. The almost defunct November 17 group, would certainly fall into this category. So it would not be a far reach to link the embassy attack to his capture. (Reference to following article on US Embssy attack). Rocket Attack Against US Embassy in Athens Signals Resurgence of Greek Leftist Terrorism Analysis. By Valentine Spyroglou, South-East Europe Bureau Chief. A blast from a rocket hit the US Embassy in Athens, Greece, on Friday, January 12, 2007, at 05:58 hrs local time. The rocket hit the US Embassy building on the third floor, putting an end to a 10-year “peaceful” period between the domestic terrorist organizations and the important international targets in Greece. There were no injuries from the blast, although some minimal damage was caused to the front of the building; one glass plate in the buildings forefront was damaged, above the US eagle emblem. The rocket hit a marble wall and the blast was mitigated. The rocket landed in a toilet on the third floor of the building, which also houses Ambassador Charles Ries's office. Initial information reveals that the rocket was fired from a building opposed the US Embassy in Athens, from the Lampsaku Str., where a construction site is located. The distance between the US Embassy and the launch point is approximately 100 meters (328 feet). At about 07:30 hrs Greece local time, an unknown person called the offices of the private company “Security”, which secures the embassy (on behalf of the US Government) and assumed responsibility on behalf of the local terrorist organization Revolutionary Struggle. A second call was reportedly made to a newspaper in Athens. At 08:00 hrs, Amb. Ries stated that this was a “very serious attack”, adding that the attack came from outside and “there can be no justification for such a senseless act of violence”. Amb. Ries also quoted his discussion with the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Dora Bakoyianni, who confirmed the total cooperation of the Greek Government for the pursuit of the perpetrators. Mrs Bakoyianni visited the US Embassy where she met with Amb. Ries; she stated that the Greek Government was determined to use every means to prevent similar incidents in the future. Furthermore, Greek Minister of Public Order Vyron Polydoras said that “we believe it is a symbolic act, operationally. We are worried by the incident, but not terrified. Our Government strongly condemns the attack. The Greek authorities cooperate with the US authorities to detect the case.” US State Department spokesman confirmed the incident and announced that the US Embassy in Athens would be closed for the day. The US Ambassador in Athens and the Greek Ministers posed their statements in the front of the Embassy’s building, to indicate that they had no fear of the terrorists. Greek police and US counter-terrorism officials in Greece — who routinely cooperate — began working together on the attack. For three hours on January 12, 2007, the boulevard on which the US Embassy is located (in downtown Athens), and the surrounding streets, were closed. The Greek Ministry of Public Order was still investigating late on January 12, 2007, the authenticity of the telephone call to the private company “Security”, on behalf of “Revolutionary Struggle”, as this group usually issues written announcements to verify their authenticity, when they conduct terrorist or violence acts. Key Notes The US Embassy in Athens is the second most strongly-secured and heavily-guarded US Embassy in the world, after the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia, and it is the most secured building and area in Greece by the Hellenic police. Hence, the terrorist attack against the US Embassy in Athens, the location, and the way it was hit, indicated that it was performed by very well-trained terrorists capable of performing terrorist acts downtown and in one of the busiest streets in the Greek capital. So far, there were no known eyewitness who saw the terrorists or the launch of the rocket. On the private Greek TV stations MEGA Channel and Ant1 TV, which covered the events from the beginning, more than 10 people living behind the US Embassy building and near where the Ambassador’s house is located, stated that they heard “dense shots” in the back of the Embassy’s building two hours before the rocket blast. For these public statements the Greek forces and the US Embassy made no formal comments, while from 10:00 hrs local time (on January 12, 2007) none of the Greek media again mentioned such statements. Also, at 10:00 hrs local time, a threatening telephone call was made, forewarning of a bomb in the Athens Olympic Stadium; the warning proved to be misleading. Initial information which came from the location of the terrorist attack mentioned that a rocket launcher was found on a construction site opposite of the US Embassy, and referred to an auto-launched rocket, 28.6 inches in length, similar to those used by the terrorist organization November 17. This information was known to all media that used the term ‘static attack’, using the method of November 17. GIS secure information revealed that the attack was conducted with an 84 inch rocket, of 45 cm length, and of eastern origin; more specifically of Russian construction. The rocket was launched from a motorbike, targeting the US eagle emblem. The terrorists aimed to conduct an impressive and symbolic attack, but they missed as they hit some centimeters above the main target, and they hit the toilets located on the third floor of the building. Initial information reveals that the Russian Antitank Grenade Launcher, RPG-7, was used. The terrorist organization November 17, on Sunday December 24, 1989, had stolen weapons from four ammunition depots in the village of Sykurio near the city of Larisa, Greece, including 73 2.36 inch rockets, 40 3.5 inch rockets, 7,000 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, and considerable quantities of .45 caliber and .38 caliber ammunition, grenades, and electrical detonating fuse for explosives. When members of November 17 where arrested before the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, 87 rockets and other material stolen from Sykurio were found in two safe houses of the organization. From 1990 to 1999, November 17 had launched in terrorist acts using 36 rockets. It is obvious, then, that November 17 had more ammunition apart from the quantities stolen from Sykurio. In the two safe houses of November 17, one in Patmos street and one in Damareos street, among others things, three .45 pistols were found; they had been stolen in December 1977 from a military camp in the village Eleftheroupoli near the city of Kavala, Greece, among 32 stolen .45 pistols. Five more pistols from the same bundle were found in 1986 in the Kalama street, Athens, in the safe-house of the known terrorist, Christos Tsutsuvis. Other information which has not been published demonstrates that terrorist organizations in Greece cooperate closely with each other and with other European groups. The profile of the November 17 ideology was made evident from the 55 proclamations which the organization issued in its history. The organizations profile is similar to European terrorist organizations profile, as is the Red Army Faction (German: Baader-Meinhof Gang), Direct Action (France: Action Directe), and the Red Brigades (Italy: Brigade Rosse). November 17 maintained closed relations with international terrorist organizations and famous terrorists such as Johannes Weinrich and Carlos “The Jackal” (Ilich Ramírez Sánchez). While members of November 17 have been arrested, and even though a significant quantity of guns, ammunitions and other clues were found, the typewriter of the organization for writing the proclamations, and the .45 gun they used for most of the assassinations they had conducted, were not found. Greek and foreign politicians and diplomats have indicated that a number of November 17 members were not arrested but escaped from the authorities; despite the Europol report issued in May 2005 which discussed the final dislocation of the terrorist organizations the Revolutionary Organization 17 November (November 17) and the Revolutionary People’s Struggle (ELA). Among the “after November 17 era” organizations which appeared in Greece after the summer of 2003, two are considered to pose serious threat to Greek security. These are the Revolutionary People’s Action and the Revolutionary Struggle. The Greek counter-terrorism unit is concerned with the theft of 300 kilos of dynamite and detonating fuse from a quarry in the prefecture of Fthiotida (central Greece). During 2003, these two terrorist organizations attacked, with bombs, a Hellenic Police Station in the Kallithea area in Athens, the Courts in Athens and two buses carrying police officers in Athens. The explosives detected in all cases came from the quarry in Fthiotida. Therefore, most probably the two organizations are actually one or members of both organizations have close relations. In May 2004, 100 days before the beginning of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the terrorist organization Revolutionary Struggle attacked, with three improvised bombs, the Hellenic Police Station in Kallithea, Athens, although with no victims or injuries. [See GIS Section on Olympic Games Security.] After the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, in October 2004, the same organization attacked, using a remote controlled mechanism, two buses carrying police officers heading towards the jail where the November 17 terrorists were kept. In December 2004, they killed the Greek police guard in the house of the British Defence Attaché. The terrorist organization Revolutionary Struggle appeared in September 2003 when they had attacked the Court in Athens. The other terrorist organization, Revolutionary People’s Action, appeared a few days after the attacks conducted by the Revolutionary Struggle, although they conducted low profile attacks using minimal power. In June 2006, Revolutionary Struggle attacked for the seventh time (in total) the Greek Minister of Public Order, Mr Giorgos Voulgarakis, with a remotely-controlled bomb, but they missed their target. Other attacks include blasts again the Hellenic Ministries of Economy and Finance and of Employment and Social Security. On June 6, 2006, Revolutionary Struggle issued a proclamation of 11 pages, explaining the reasons for which they had attacked the Ministry of Public Order by using 2.5 kilos of explosives activated through remote control. In that proclamation they had also targeted the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Dora Bakoyiannis, and Minister of Defense Evaggelo Meimaraki. Both Ministers were accused on concessions they made on national issues, such as is the Cypriot issue, the dispute with FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), and Turkey’s accession in the European Union (EU). This terrorist organization usually announces its next target, through the confirmation of an attack by the use of a proclamation. The attack against the Ministry of Economy and Finance on December 12, 2005, was announced in the proclamation by which they had assumed responsibility for the attack of the Ministry of Employment and Social Security in July 2005. After the attack against the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Revolutionary Struggle had issued a proclamation in which they assumed responsibility for the attack, stating the next target that would be the Minister of Public Order, Mr Voulgarakis. In the 11-page proclamation of June 2006, the organization referred among others to the “problem with the name of FYROM”. It is noted that today, December 12, 2006, and at 15:30 hrs, was scheduled a formal visit of the UN special envoy for FYROM and Greece and US diplomat Matthew Nimetz for talks with the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Bakoyiannis, in Athens. Mr Nimetz came from Skopje, the FYROM capital, where he had important talks over the name of the country and the disputes with Greece. Even though, no organization had, by late January 12, 2007, formally assumed responsibility for the terrorist attack against the US Embassy in Athens, GIS associates analyzed terrorist information in Greece and concluded that the terrorist attack was indeed conducted by members of the Revolutionary Struggle. GIS associates and experts on terrorism in Greece, support the view that the Revolutionary Struggle is the follower of the older terrorist organization Revolutionary Cell which once operated close to the external cell of November 17. They do not exclude the fact that members of the Revolutionary Cell founded the Revolutionary Struggle, along with November 17 members that have not yet been arrested. Further, other members of the Revolutionary Cell probably founded the Revolutionary People’s Action, which cooperates with the Revolutionary Struggle. Moreover, the terrorist act of the Revolutionary Struggle against a target like the US Embassy in Athens, signals its establishment as the followers of November 17. This theory is supported by the fact that today — January 12, 2007 — in the Court in Athens, the operational member and chief of November 17 — Demitris Koufodinas, codenamed “Lukas” — was to testify. Lukas was supposed to testify on Monday, January 8, 2007, but he requested a hearing for today, January 12, 2007. On the other hand, the use of the RPG-7 from a close distance, against a heavily guarded target, indicated good training, decisiveness, experience, and a willingness to “internationalize” their acts, with the aim of winning international exposure of their organization. Undoubtedly, after the US Embassy strike in Athens, the Revolutionary Struggle will be regarded as the number one domestic terrorist organization in Greece, attracting the followers of November 17 and of the Revolutionary People’s Struggle (ELA). November 17 had, on February 15, 1996, conducted a rocket attack against the US Ambassador’s house in Athens. At that time the rocket had hit the protection wall. Furthermore, the use of a Russian-constructed rocket RPG indicated that the terrorist organization had access in obtaining dangerous weapons. It is most probably that these were obtained from the Balkans. After the end of the war between Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Kosovo, weapons and explosives smuggling had found its exits. Any kind of weapons and ammunitions, explosives, drugs, etc. are transferred through the networks of old terrorists, members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA/UCK), to the Balkans and Europe. It is easy for someone to find in FYROM, Albania, or Kosovo any weapon or explosives and in very reasonable price, place and order, and have them delivered in Athens through the networks of the Albanian mafia which traffic in narcotics. It must be stressed that the Greek Army does not possess RPGs, so the weapons used were not stolen from the Greek Forces. In the Balkans, Russian RPGs ended in terrorist hands after the Serbian Army left from Kosovo. All Balkan security services are aware of such information. The GIS office in south-east Europe analyzed all information and it considers that with the January 12, 2007, strike, terrorism in Greece was likely to make a resurgence. It is very probable that older, inactive cells were activated or other members of the terrorist organizations November 17 and Revolutionary People’s Struggle (ELA) in cooperation with third-generation terrorists were activated. The latest secure information revealed that the Greek Police Counter-Terrorism Unit is optimistic of making progress in identifying the attackers, and making arrests, because they had information of a possible terrorist attack the few weeks leading up to the January 12, 2007, attack, despite the statements made by the US Ambassador Ries that Greece did not expect a terrorist attack.

BREAKING NEWS - !!! TOP ISLAMIC REGIME STRATEGIST CAPTURED IN IRAQ

Reports from Tehran state that Iran's top IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps) strategist, Hassan Abbasi, was captured in the recent raid on the Islamic Iran's office in Erbil, Iraq. Referred to inside Islamic Iran as the Regime's version of Kissinger, Abbasi works directly as special advisor for the dead or dying Supreme Ruler in Iran - Ali Khamenei. His attitude to the main competitor for the Supreme Leadership position, Hashemi Rafsanjani, as the telephone report elaborated, is "like a knife and cheese", meaning he hates Rafsanjani. Abbasi has in the past indicated he has already chosen and set up attack capability on a large number of targets inside the USA and said the Islamic regime would wipe out the Western culture - as a whole - and replace it with Islam. He also runs the "Freedom Organizations" an umbrella group, coordinating and networking every "anti-imperialism" terror group around the globe. Be it the IRA in Ireland or Japanese cults or Puerto Rican gangs in the USA. Anyone who is ready to disrupt their country and governments through acts of terrorism. As the Islamic Regime's top tactician and strategist, his being found and caught in Iraq comes as little or no surprise when reorganization of the jihadists in Iraq has to be done to meet President Bush's new initiative. In the past Abbasi was closely linked to the Islamic Regime's former MInister of Defense, Shamkhani and authored much of the plans to block the Persian Gulf as well as plans to insert the Ghods Brigades into Iraq via the Basra area and the Northern Kurdish borders. He has long established ties to the Kurds, who cooperate with him as part of the Freedoms Organizations in their quest for a Kurdish homeland. Was the attack on the US Embassy in Greece a retaliation for this capture? It fits the Freedom Organizations type of activity and no other recent event clearly warrants this attack. Pure, unfounded speculation: it could be a diversion to cover up or distract from Khamenei's death or even the "nuclear trigger" version of the explosion in the desert near Kerman.

BREAKING NEWS- NUCLEAR EVENT IN IRAN?

Reports emanating from Iran on Wednesday indicate a huge explosion - reportedly NUCLEAR - from the Kerman area at the edge of the Kavir Lut (major desert). I waited to get confirmation of the event that was felt a 100 kilometers away but apart from on the ground phone reports, the local Islamic Iranian news media reported that an UFO had crashed and blown up to explain the incident. The explosion took place at what would be the Islamic Regime's testing ground for an atomic weapon. In any event, something huge happened, so far nobody has made any official comment. Was it the Islamic Regime trying to copy North Korea and announce itself a nuclear power? Was it a test gone wrong? Was it a dress rehearsal or was it a single shot warning from the West that the regime was crossing the line? Lots of questions but no good answers yet. Again. Something huge happened.

A Photo Report of an Indicative Incident

CLICK ON TITLE FOR LINK TO AN ARREST INCIDENT which gives and example of how people "disappear" in the Islamic regime of Iran. The head of the Islamic prisons has provided statistics which state some 2,600 PEOPLE are arrested by the regime EVERY DAY - tht comess to about a MILLION a year. Many of them never return alive. Many of those that are luckier come back crippled for life or bearing deap scars of their physical abuse and even deeper psychological ones. The trunk or boot of a car is a good temporary prison to abduct someone out of sight on the journey to wherever they will be held and tortured - without any chance of being helped along the way. Or jumping out of the car. Again, official Islamic statistics indicate there are about 100 "unofficial" prisons operated by various arms of the security apparatus rather than the official prison authorities.

Terror Strikes Anywhere

This is what Iran is threatening to do in Europe and the USA as retaliation if attacked. Coming to your neighborhood soon? Not if you destroy them first.

The LARK Program

THE LARK PROGRAM A Lady liberal wrote a lot of letters to the White House complaining about the treatment of a captive insurgent (terrorist) being held in Guantanamo Bay. She received back the following reply: The White House1600 Pennsylvania AvenueWashington , D.C. 20016 Dear Concerned Citizen, Thank you for your recent letter roundly criticizing our treatment of the Taliban and Al Quada detainees currently being held at Guantanamo Bay , Cuba. Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinion was heard loud and clear here in Washington .. You'll be pleased to learn that, thanks to the concerns of citizens likeyourself, we are creating a new division of the Terrorist Retraining Program, to be called the "Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers" program, or LARK for short. In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided to place one terrorist under your personal care. Your personal detainee has been selected and scheduled for transportation under heavily armed guard to your residence next Monday. Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud (you can just call him Ahmed) is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint. It will likely be necessary for you to hire some assistant caretakers. We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommended in your letter. Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his "attitudinal problem" will help him overcome these character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand that you plan to offer counseling and home schooling. Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills at your next yoga group. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless (in your opinion) this might offend him. Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters (except sexually), since he views females as a subhuman form of property. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him and he has been known to show violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the new dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire. I'm sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka -- over time. Just remember that it is all part of "respecting his culture and his religious beliefs" -- wasn't that how you put it? Thanks again for your letter. We truly appreciate it when folks like you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job. You take good care of Ahmed - and remember, we'll be watching. Good luck! Cordially, your friend, GEORGE W. BUSH Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American G. I. One died for your soul; the other for your freedom. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wise Old Indian gives good advice Recently someone was browsing through the 40th Anniversary Issue of Reader's Digest (dated Feb. 1962), came across this reprint from the Washington News, and found it quite interesting in light of our current debates. The quote reads: Vice President Lyndon Johnson received the following message from a Native American Indian Chief on a reservation: "Be careful with your immigration laws. We were careless with ours." (Hat tip to friend Anita Carroll)

VARIOUS NEWS BRIEFS/REPORTS

Iran's Secret Plan For Mayhem Assyrian International News Agency 1-6-2007 http://www.aina.org/news/20070106142617.htm WASHINGTON -- Iran is supporting both Sunni and Shiite terrorists in the Iraqi civil war, according to secret Iranian documents captured by Americans in Iraq. The news that American forces had captured Iranians in Iraq was widely reported last month, but less well known is that the Iranians were carrying documents that offered Americans insight into Iranian activities in Iraq. An American intelligence official said the new material, which has been authenticated within the intelligence community, confirms "that Iran is working closely with both the Shiite militias and Sunni Jihadist groups." The source was careful to stress that the Iranian plans do not extend to cooperation with Baathist groups fighting the government in Baghdad, and said the documents rather show how the Quds Force -- the arm of Iran's revolutionary guard that supports Shiite Hezbollah, Sunni Hamas, and Shiite death squads -- is working with individuals affiliated with Al Qaeda in Iraq and Ansar al-Sunna. Another American official who has seen the summaries of the reporting affiliated with the arrests said it comprised a "smoking gun." "We found plans for attacks, phone numbers affiliated with Sunni bad guys, a lot of things that filled in the blanks on what these guys are up to," the official said. One of the documents captured in the raids, according to two American officials and one Iraqi official, is an assessment of the Iraq civil war and new strategy from the Quds Force. According to the Iraqi source, that assessment is the equivalent of "Iran's Iraq Study Group," a reference to the bipartisan American commission that released war strategy recommendations after the November 7 elections. The document concludes, according to these sources, that Iraq's Sunni neighbors will step up their efforts to aid insurgent groups and that it is imperative for Iran to redouble efforts to retain influence with them, as well as with Shiite militias. Rough translations of the Iranian assessment and strategy, as well as a summary of the intelligence haul, have been widely distributed throughout the policy community and are likely to influence the Iraq speech President Bush is expected to deliver in the coming days regarding the way forward for the war, according to two Bush administration officials. The news that Iran's elite Quds Force would be in contact, and clandestinely cooperating, with Sunni Jihadists who attacked the Golden Mosque in Samarra (one of the holiest shrines in Shiism) on February 22, could shake the alliance Iraq's ruling Shiites have forged in recent years with Tehran. Many Iraq analysts believe the bombing vaulted Iraq into the current stage of its civil war. The top Quds Force commander -- known as Chizari, according to a December 30 story in the Washington Post -- was captured inside a compound belonging to Abdul Aziz Hakim, the Shiite leader President Bush last month pressed to help forge a new ruling coalition that excludes a firebrand Shiite cleric, Moqtada al-Sadr. According to one Iraqi official, the two Quds commanders were in Iraq at the behest of the Iraqi government, which had requested more senior Iranian points of contact when the government complained about Shiite death squad activity. The negotiations were part of an Iraqi effort to establish new rules of the road between Baghdad and Tehran. This arrangement was ironed out by Iraq's president, Jalal Talabani, when he was in Tehran at the end of November. While Iran has openly supported Iraqi Shiite militias involved in attacks on American soldiers, the Quds Force connection to Sunni insurgents has been murkier. In 2003, coalition forces captured a playbook outlining Iranian intentions to support insurgents of both stripes, but its authenticity was disputed. American intelligence reports have suggested that export/import operations run by Sunni terrorists in Fallujah in 2004 received goods from the revolutionary guard. "We have seen bits and piece of things before, but it was highly compartmentalized suggesting the Iranian link to Sunni groups," a military official said. A former Iran analyst for the Pentagon who also worked as an adviser to the Coalition Provisional Authority, Michael Rubin, said yesterday: "There has been lots of information suggesting that Iran has not limited its outreach just to the Shiites, but this has been disputed." He added, "When documents like this are found, usually intelligence officials may confirm their authenticity but argue they prove nothing because they do not reflect a decision to operationalize things." A former State Department senior analyst on Iraq and Iran who left government service in 2005, Wayne White, said he did not think it was likely the Quds Force was supporting Sunni terrorists who were targeting Shiite political leaders and civilians, but stressed he did not know. "I have no doubt whatsoever that al-Quds forces are on the ground and active in Iraq," he said. "That's about it. I saw evidence that Moqtada al Sadr was in contact with Sunni Arab insurgents in western Iraq, but I never saw evidence of Iran in that loop." Mr. White added, "One problem that we all have is that people consistently conduct analysis assuming that the actor is going to act predictably or rationally based on their overall mindset or ideology. Sometimes people don't. "One example of a mindset that may hinder analysis of Iranian involvement is the belief that Iran would never have any dealings with militant Sunni Arabs. But they allowed hundreds of Al Qaeda operatives to escape from Afghanistan across their territory in 2002," he said. By Eli LakeNew York Sun Israel 'has plan for nuclear strike on Iran' By Marie Woolf, Political Editor The independent, 07 January 2007 http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/article2132596.ece Israel has drawn up secret plans to use low-yield nuclear weapons to knock out Iran's uranium enrichment facilities, it was claimed last night. According to a report in The Sunday Times, two Israeli air force squadrons are training to use nuclear "bunker busting" bombs to demolish Iran's heavily guarded enrichment programme. Israeli military commanders are said to believe that conventional strikes may not be sufficient to wipe out Iran's enrichment facilities, some of which are built beneath 70ft of concrete and rock. Under the plans conventional laser-guided bombs would open tunnels into the targets and then mini nuclear weapons would be fired, exploding deep underground. The nuclear-tipped, bunker-busting bombs would only be used if a conventional attack was ineffective, or if the US, which also wants to halt Iran's nuclear programme, fails to act. The leaking of the "plans" may well be designed to apply pressure on the US. Israel has already made it clear that it does not want to allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. It fears for its own safety after the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, said: "Israel must be wiped off the map." Israel is said to have identified three prime targets south of Tehran, including Nantanz, where facilities are being installed for uranium enrichment underground. Israeli pilots are believed to have flown to Gibraltar recently to train for the 2,000-mile round trip to Iran. A spokesman for the Israeli embassy in London said last night that Israel preferred to use diplomatic means to end Iran's nuclear enrichment programme. "We have an unchanged policy position on the Iranian nuclear issue. Israel prefers this issue to be resolved through diplomatic channels," he said. "We cannot comment on any other scenario." Iran says no truth to rumor of Khamenei death http://www.iranmania.com/News/ArticleView/Default.asp?NewsCode=48616&NewsKind=Current%20Affairs LONDON, January 6 (IranMania) - Iran's UN ambassador denied reports circulating on the Internet that Tehran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had died, Reuters reported. "We checked last night and there is no truth to it," Javad Zarif, Iran's chief envoy to the United Nations, told Reuters about the reports, which first appeared on Web sites on Thursday. The Internet rumors were circulating among traders in energy and other financial markets, but had not moved prices. In Tehran, relatives of Khamenei dismissed the rumors, which they said had been circulating for several days, and said he was in good health, according to the report. One Iranian source said Khamenei was expected to lead prayers during a religious holiday on Monday. Khamenei has been Iran's highest authority since 1989. A Leadership Change In Tehran? January 06, 2007 Stratfor Geopolitical Diary http://www.stratfor.com/ Rumors are circulating that Iran's 67-year-old supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is entering the final stage in his fight against cancer. Though there is an incentive among Western intelligence agencies and Iranian opposition groups to promulgate these rumors -- to give the impression that all is not well in the Islamic Republic -- there appears to be some truth to the reports. Sources inside Hezbollah indicate that the supreme leader's death is not imminent, but there is a real possibility that he could become incapacitated within the year. The online political blog Pajamas Media reported on Thursday that Khamenei already has died, though the reliability of this information remains uncertain at the time of this writing. The possibility of Khamenei no longer running the show in Tehran seriously complicates the future of the Iranian regime, particularly as the country is navigating an extraordinarily critical passage in its history. Years of careful strategizing have placed the Iranians in a prime position, where the country is well on its way to establishing itself as the regional kingmaker. Not only is Iran within arm's reach of a full-fledged nuclear program, it has seized the opportunity to work toward bringing Iraq's government and oil assets under its domain and to use Iraq as a launchpad to augment Shiite influence in the region. Meanwhile, the United States is in a quandary over how to bring some sense of stability to Iraq. Its most attractive option, a surge of U.S. troops, is unlikely to be successful and will meet stiff opposition in U.S. defense and political circles. Though the pieces have largely fallen into place for Iran, the coming year could bring some unpleasant developments that could end up destabilizing the mullahs' foreign policy agenda. Khamenei succeeded the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, when he died in 1989. Khamenei has since been highly revered across the Shiite world and has played a key role in moderating between hard-liners and pragmatists in the Iranian government. His death will have a shattering effect on the Iranian public, who idolize their leader and would largely view his loss as a catastrophe. To make things even more interesting, sources in Beirut, Lebanon, report that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's days in power could also be numbered -- he could depart the political scene within the year. After his radical conservative faction suffered a bruising defeat in the December 2006 municipal and Assembly of Experts elections, the boisterous president's spotlight has waned. His original purpose, to exhibit a radical and unpredictable face for the Iranian regime, has largely been achieved in the 18 months he has been in office. The man expected to restore order in Tehran, should these two monumental developments take place in 2007, is none other than former Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who recently became the chairman of the 85-member Assembly of Experts. Rafsanjani, known for his pragmatic leanings and his track record in corrupt business practices, was Ahmadinejad's main opponent in the June 2005 presidential election. It is unclear at this point whether Ahmadinejad or Khamenei would be the first to go, but the president's fate will likely be determined by the health of Khamenei. The removal of Ahmadinejad, which could take the form of a forced resignation, expulsion by the supreme leader or a deadly accident, is not expected to take place before June. Should Khamenei survive through the summer of 2007, it is quite possible that Rafsanjani would replace Ahmadinejad as president. It might be no coincidence that Rafsanjani, in a recent talk with journalists, described a new highway currently under construction in Tehran, as the "highway of Shahid (martyr) Ahmadinejad." The restoration of Rafsanjani to the presidency would be welcomed by officials in Washington, who see the former Iranian leader as someone whom they can engage in serious negotiations. If Khamenei's time is running out, he will want to ensure that an able figure like Rafsanjani is well positioned to ease Iran out of any potential crisis while maintaining the core foreign policy objectives of consolidating Iranian influence in the region and crossing the nuclear finish line without suffering regime-threatening consequences. With such changes up in the air, U.S. President George W. Bush will have to play his cards carefully in adjusting his Iraq policy. Iran is anxiously awaiting Bush's next move in Iraq, but the United States will likely hold off on any major moves toward negotiating with Iran until it gets a better idea of how the Iranian leadership will shape up in the coming year. Eyeing Iran January 06, 2007 The New York Post Ralph Peters http://www.nypost.com/seven/01062007/postopinion/opedcolumnists/eyeing_iran_opedcolumnists_ralph_peters.htm Word that Adm. William Fallon will move laterally from our Pacific Command to take charge of Central Command - responsible for the Middle East - while two ground wars rage in the region baffled the media. Why put a swabbie in charge of grunt operations? There's a one-word answer: Iran. Assigning a Navy aviator and combat veteran to oversee our military operations in the Persian Gulf makes perfect sense when seen as a preparatory step for striking Iran's nuclear-weapons facilities - if that becomes necessary. While the Air Force would deliver the heaviest tonnage of ordnance in a campaign to frustrate Tehran's quest for nukes, the toughest strategic missions would fall to our Navy. Iran would seek to retaliate asymmetrically by attacking oil platforms and tankers, closing the Strait of Hormuz - and trying to hit oil infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf emirates. Only the U.S. Navy - hopefully, with Royal Navy and Aussie vessels underway beside us - could keep the oil flowing to a thirsty world. In short, the toughest side of an offensive operation against Iran would be the defensive aspects - requiring virtually every air and sea capability we could muster. (Incidentally, an additional U.S. carrier battle group is now headed for the Gulf; Britain and Australia are also strengthening their naval forces in the region.) Not only did Adm. Fallon command a carrier air wing during Operation Desert Storm, he also did shore duty at a joint headquarters in Saudi Arabia. He knows the complexity and treacherousness of the Middle East first-hand. Strengthening his qualifications, numerous blue-water assignments and his duties at PACOM schooled him on the intricacies of the greater Indian Ocean - the key strategic region for the 21st-century and the one that would be affected immediately by a U.S. conflict with Iran. OssamaBin Laden - Dead or Alive? PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - Taliban chief Mullah Mohammad Omar has added to the mystery over Osama bin Laden' News News Photos Images Web' Osama bin Laden, saying he hasn't seen his ally and fellow fugitive since U.S.-backed forces ousted the Taliban from Afghanistan' in 2001. News News Photos Images Web' Afghanistan "No, I have neither seen him, nor have I made any effort to do so, but I pray for his health and safety," Omar said in an e-mailed response to questions sent by Reuters. (Info or dis-info?) The questions were relayed to Omar through his spokesman, Mohammad Hanif, and a reply was received late on Wednesday. A half-dozen audio tapes of bin Laden were circulated during the first half of 2006, but the al Qaeda leader last appeared on video tape in late 2004, while tapes of his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri, have been issued regularly. A video tape of bin Laden was released late last year, but it was identified as old footage, and the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States passed without word from the al Qaeda leader. Speculation over the whereabouts and health of bin Laden boiled over in September when a French provincial newspaper reported that he had died of typhoid in late August. Although several governments and intelligence agencies rebutted that report, saying they had no evidence to suggest bin Laden had died, they acknowledged they had no clue to where he was. The wealthy Saudi-born bin Laden helped bankroll the Taliban after moving to Afghanistan in the mid-1990s, and he was reported to have married one of Omar's daughters to cement their alliance. The United States has offered a $25 million reward for the capture of bin Laden and $10 million for Omar. The best guess to bin Laden's whereabouts remains somewhere on the rugged border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, in the ethnic tribal lands where Omar's Taliban counts on support to fight an insurgency against U.S. and NATO' forces in Afghanistan and the government of President Hamid Karzai. STILL IN CONTACT? Analysts say that while there was no apparent evidence for any meeting between bin Laden and Omar after the September 11 attacks, the two fugitive militants are believed to have remained in contact in recent years. "According to my information and the interviews which I conducted in the last two years in different provinces of the eastern and southern Afghanistan, Mullah Omar and Osama bin Laden are in touch, at least (for the) last two years," said Hamid Mir, a prominent Pakistani journalist who interviewed bin Laden shortly after the September 11 attacks. Relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, both major U.S. allies in the war on terrorism, have deteriorated sharply over the past year in the wake of the bloodiest campaign mounted by the Taliban since it was ousted from power. Omar said people from the Pashtun tribal belt straddling the border were rallying to the Taliban's cause. "The people themselves have risen up to fight the Americans," he said. Although the Taliban and al Qaeda are seen as allies, Omar said his sole focus was Afghanistan while bin Laden's movement was engaged in a global jihad, or holy war. DIFFERENT GOALS "They have set jihad as their goal, whereas we have set the expulsion of American troops from Afghanistan as our target," he said. To start a political process to end the militancy, Pakistan and Afghanistan plan to organize tribal councils -- known as jirgas -- on both sides of the border. No dates have been fixed. A Taliban spokesman said last month that the group might join the jirgas if asked, but Omar rejected the proposal. "The only people who would participate are those who have sold out to foreign powers. Our participation is absolutely out of the question," the fugitive militant leader said. He reiterated his call for the withdrawal of foreign troops to end the conflict in Afghanistan. "Unless that happens, the war will heat further up," Omar said. Afghanistan says Omar is based in or around the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta, but Omar said he is in Afghanistan.

CHINA - USA - BEHIND THE SCENES STRUGGLE

Does the Mass Media have a total disconnect, or is being fearfully discreet for once, or simply not connecting the dots? Quite recently, sources told a radio show host that China had threatened to ruin the USA economy by selling off a Trillion dollars they hold in their reserves. (Posted on this site at the link shown immediately below and also on World Tribune for subscribers). http://noiri.blogspot.com/2006/12/china-to-dump-one-trillion-dollars-in.html Other reports have more recently stated, after UN sanctions were approved against Iran, the USA is taking a hard look at putting sanctions on a huge Chinese oil and gas company, Sineco, which has signed a $16 Billion contract with Iran for development of Iran's natural gas fields. This contract is part of an overall $300 billion agreement entered into by Sineco with Iran, which virtually puts control of exploration, development, improvement, upkeep, refining etc., completely into Chinese hands. Plus the critical expansion of refining gasoline capabilities to cover the Islamic Regime's current import of about 45% of Iran's automobile fuel needs. I believe the USA sent such a top level financial and economic team to China to discuss the effect the embargo on assisting Iran's oil and gas industry would have on Sineco operations and contracts and were promptly slapped with the Chinese threat to ruin America (and subsequently the world and China's own ) economy by crashing the value of the dollar. Somewhat like Russia, China could "withdraw from the world economy " and survive. Not as the rising power it is now but at the low level of living standards most of the population endures. The USA, on the other hand, with high living and quality of life standards to which Americans have grown accustomed, could not weather the global storm the dollar crash would bring. It is not unconceivable that China would flood Iran with Chinese military forces to "protect its national interests" - using the excuse of "maintaining stability in the region". The quality and equipment of those forces - compard to sheer numbers - is almost irrelevant. The argument that China does not have the capability to move large numbers of troops is almost laughable as they can reach Iran from various, not always unfriendly, directions. Which transit route would want to go head to head to oppose China? Iran's Mullahs would probably side with China and welcome the "take over" to spite America. Informing their own populace that this would be in their best interests. And as usual, violently suppress dissent. This time, not with Arab mercenaries of the Bassiji suppression divisions, but with eager Chinese assistance.

Where is the happiness for the coming year for these desperate Iranians? Quite apart from the millions and millions who suffer under the yoke of the Mullahs.

Fars News reported that the Islamic Republic declared that it would grant a one-billion-dollar loan to Iraq. NOTE: hundreds of thousands of Iranian factory workers (regime owned) have not been paid their wages, often for almost a year. Many scavenge in garbage bins or dumps to find food for themselves and their families. Nearly HALF A MILLION children wander the streets of the capital city of Tehran without food or shelter. Abandoned women in their tens of thousands are also homeless on the streets. Yet the Islamic Regime provides gifts to Hezbollah of well over $100 million. Same amount to Hamas. One BiLLION to Iraq and $500 MiIlion to Syria to purchase Russian weapons. Does Ahmadi-Nejad care? No. While he gives away Billions in Persian treasure, taking food and subsistance out of the people's mouths, he suggests the populace should have more children! (Which he will need as cannon fodder in case of war!)

The Kinder, Gentler Islam of Iran

While I am one of the first to say that the MEK (Mojaheddin-e Khalgh) has turned into a cult to worship Mariam Rajavi and husband Massoud Rajavi, as "supreme beings", their information sources are usually pretty accurate. Why? Because they ARE the populace or a common part of it! And have shoes and boots on the ground inside Iran. They ARE the common man in the street inside Iran - except that they have Marxist philosophies and want to rule - potentially almost as ruthlessly as the Mullahs - if how they handle their own members is any indication. One major difference, since they have their "queen Mariam" may be that women's rights could flourish and the Islamic aspects put in place by the Mullahs be greatly reduced to allowing music and Western films etc. and perhaps relaxing or making the Islamic dress code more voluntary. The Mullahs hate and fear them. As do all suporters of the Mullahs or Iranians who went through the Iran-Iraq war for 8-years inside Iran and were constantly told by the Mullahs, to deflect blame from themselves, that the MEK was the cause of all the deaths and thus the "bad guys". The populace - as spoken for by the Mullahs - is deemed to hate them for helping Iraq attack Iran in the 8-year war. In fact, the populace and the MEK are virtually indistinguishable - except by the MEK's ardent desire to kill Mullahs. Mostly to avenge the 30,000 to 40,000 Mojaheddin the Mullas admit to executing while holding them in prison. The real number is probably higher. Another reason the Mullahs fear the MEK is that they are the only opposition "group" with a potential sting of armed and trained fighters who HATE the clerics. And reportedly some 100,000 members inside Iran. After being classified as a "terrorist group" by the Clinton administration to try to mollify the ruling clerics in Iran, followed in kind by Europe, France, which has some 30,000 of the MEK cult members on their soil , has now withdrawn the terrorist label AND has returned to them all the money confiscated from them by the French government. Do the French know something we don't? Or are they playing their usual game of being friends with everyone - "just in case". Regardless of the above, here is some statistical information OFFICIALLy announced by the Islamic Regime of Iran and relayed by the website link shown below, quoting MEK political operations. Islamic republic sentences 'at least 2,600 people every DAY, = 1 million a year in Iran: 600,000 jailed since start of this year. (Unclear whether this means the year 2006 or the Iranian calendar year ending March 20th, 2007) http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3343931,00.html Yaakov Lappin - 12.24.06 Well over half a million Iranians have been imprisoned by their regime since the start of the year, Director-General of the Cultural and Disciplinary Committee of the Iranian Prisons Organization Mansour Moqareh-Abed told Iranian newspaper Jomhouri Islami. The interview was cited by the website of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), an umbrella organization for Iranian opposition groups in exile. According to the NCRI, Moraqeh-Abed added in the interview that "it is not possible to accommodate 'the cultural and disciplinary' needs of this many prisoners." The NCRI noted that "every day 2,600 people are sent to prison; thus, in a year the figure grows to 1 million," a figure described as an "unprecedented world record." The NCRI added in its statement: "Obviously, the actual number of detainees in Iran is much higher than the official figure since it does not take into account various unofficial penitentiaries and prisons. Alan note: The same Islamic Regime official for prisons, recently indicated that there were well over 100 "unofficial" prisons operated by the various "special security" forces such as anti-demonstration Bassiji (for example) or special intelligence organizations. Thus indicating the statistics were much higher than he could quote. "In particular, the regime has stepped up suppression to an unprecedented level and street arrests have increased in order to combat the rising number of popular demonstrations and uprisings." Calling for human rights organizations to take up the plight of Iranian prisoners, the NCRI drew special attention to political prisoners jailed for their opposition to the Iranian regime. In 2002, the offices of the NCRI were shut down in Washington DC, after the State Department said the organization was a front for the People's Mujahedin of Iran, a militant Iranian opposition group dedicated to toppling the Iranian government. Since then, a number of politicians and analysts in the West have said that the NCRI should be made legal again, as it was a crucial representative of Iranian groups working to overthrow the government of Ayatollah Khamenei and President Ahmadi-Nejad. On Saturday, a British member of the House of Lords, Lord Fraser, called on the British government to take the NCRI off the list of banned groups. Fraser was reported by the NCRI as saying that he had been threatened by what appeared to be Iranian government agents, due to his support for the NCRI. NCRI President-Elect ("queen") Maryam Rajavi said Saturday that she "welcomed the adoption of a resolution by the UN Security Council against the mullahs' regime," saying it was "the first necessary step towards preventing the ruling religious fascism in Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb." Alan Note: In my view, the only reason to entertain the notion of providing any kind of support to the MEK is to use them to excise the Mullahs from Iran - and then remove the MEK in one way or another. Broad notions more easily said than done but not without merit for consideration.

A GOOD Moslem's Creed

Fighting per the Religion of Peace (or is it body pieces?) Qur’an:9:88 “The Messenger and those who believe with him, strive hard and fight with their wealth and lives in Allah’s Cause.” Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.” Qur’an:9:112 “The Believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, kill and are killed.” Qur’an:9:29 “Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission.” Ishaq:325 “Muslims, fight in Allah’s Cause. Stand firm and you will prosper. Help the Prophet, obey him, give him your allegiance, and your religion will be victorious.” Qur’an:8:39 “Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah.” Qur’an:8:39 “So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world).” Ishaq:324 “He said, ‘Fight them so that there is no more rebellion, and religion, all of it, is for Allah only. Allah must have no rivals.” Qur’an:9:14 “Fight them and Allah will punish them by your hands, lay them low, and cover them with shame. He will help you over them.” Ishaq:300 “I am fighting in Allah’s service. This is piety and a good deed. In Allah’s war I do not fear as others should. For this fighting is righteous, true, and good.” Ishaq:587 “Our onslaught will not be a weak faltering affair. We shall fight as long as we live. We will fight until you turn to Islam, humbly seeking refuge. We will fight not caring whom we meet. We will fight whether we destroy ancient holdings or newly gotten gains. (Until) We have mutilated every opponent. We have driven them violently before us at the command of Allah and Islam. We will fight until our religion is established. And we will plunder them, for they must suffer disgrace.” Qur’an:8:65 “O Prophet, urge the faithful to fight. If there are twenty among you with determination they will vanquish two hundred; if there are a hundred then they will slaughter a thousand unbelievers, for the infidels are a people devoid of understanding.” Ishaq:326 “Prophet exhort the believers to fight. If there are twenty good fighters they will defeat two hundred for they are a senseless people. They do not fight with good intentions nor for truth.” Bukhari:V4B52N63 “A man whose face was covered with an iron mask came to the Prophet and said, ‘Allah’s Apostle! Shall I fight or embrace Islam first?’ The Prophet said, ‘Embrace Islam first and then fight.’ So he embraced Islam, and was martyred. Allah’s Apostle said, ‘A Little work, but a great reward.’” Bukhari: V4B53N386 “Our Prophet, the Messenger of our Lord, ordered us to fight you till you worship Allah alone or pay us the Jizyah tribute tax in submission. Our Prophet has informed us that our Lord says: ‘Whoever amongst us is killed as a martyr shall go to Paradise to lead such a luxurious life as he has never seen, and whoever survives shall become your master.’” Muslim:C34B20N4668 “The Messenger said: ‘Anybody who equips a warrior going to fight in the Way of Allah is like one who actually fights. And anybody who looks after his family in his absence is also like one who actually fights.” Qur’an:9:38 “Believers, what is the matter with you, that when you are asked to go forth and fight in Allah’s Cause you cling to the earth? Do you prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? Unless you go forth, He will afflict and punish you with a painful doom, and put others in your place.” Qur’an:9:123 “Fight the unbelievers around you, and let them find harshness in you.” Qur’an:8:72 “Those who accepted Islam and left their homes to fight in Allah’s Cause with their possessions and persons, and those who gave (them) asylum, aid, and shelter, those who harbored them—these are allies of one another. You are not responsible for protecting those who embraced Islam but did not leave their homes [to fight] until they do so.” [Another translation reads:] “You are only called to protect Muslims who fight.” Muslim:C9B1N31 “I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify to the fact that there is no god but Allah, and believe in me (that) I am the Messenger and in all that I have brought.” Bukhari:V9B84N59 “Whoever says this will save his property and life from me.’” Qur’an:8:73 “The unbelieving infidels are allies. Unless you (Muslims) aid each other (fighting as one united block to make Allah’s religion victorious), there will be confusion and mischief. Those who accepted Islam, left their homes to fight in Allah’s Cause (al-Jihad), as well as those who give them asylum, shelter, and aid—these are (all) Believers: for them is pardon and bountiful provision (in Paradise).” Tabari IX:69 “Arabs are the most noble people in lineage, the most prominent, and the best in deeds. We were the first to respond to the call of the Prophet. We are Allah’s helpers and the viziers of His Messenger. We fight people until they believe in Allah. He who believes in Allah and His Messenger has protected his life and possessions from us. As for one who disbelieves, we will fight him forever in the Cause of Allah. Killing him is a small matter to us.” Qur’an:48:16 “Say (Muhammad) to the wandering desert Arabs who lagged behind: ‘You shall be invited to fight against a people given to war with mighty prowess. You shall fight them until they surrender and submit. If you obey, Allah will grant you a reward, but if you turn back, as you did before, He will punish you with a grievous torture.” Qur’an:48:22 “If the unbelieving infidels fight against you, they will retreat. (Such has been) the practice (approved) of Allah in the past: no change will you find in the ways of Allah.” Qur’an:47:4 “When you clash with the unbelieving Infidels in battle (fighting Jihad in Allah’s Cause), smite their necks until you overpower them, killing and wounding many of them. At length, when you have thoroughly subdued them, bind them firmly, making (them) captives. Thereafter either generosity or ransom (them based upon what benefits Islam) until the war lays down its burdens. Thus are you commanded by Allah to continue carrying out Jihad against the unbelieving infidels until they submit to Islam.” Qur’an:47:31 “And We shall try you until We know those among you who are the fighters.” Tabari VI:138 “Those present at the oath of Aqabah had sworn an allegiance to Muhammad. They are not comparable in the sight of Allah. Those who believe, and left their homes, striving with might, fighting in Allah’s Cause with their goods and their lives, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah.” Ishaq:550 “The Muslims met them with their swords. They cut through many arms and skulls. Only confused cries and groans could be heard over our battle roars and snarling.” Qur’an:5:94 “Believers, Allah will make a test for you in the form of a little game in which you reach out for your lances. Any who fails this test will have a grievous punishment.” Ishaq:578 “Crushing the heads of the infidels and splitting their skulls with sharp swords, we continually thrust and cut at the enemy. Blood gushed from their deep wounds as the battle wore them down. We conquered bearing the Prophet’s fluttering war banner. Our cavalry was submerged in rising dust, and our spears quivered, but by us the Prophet gained victory.” Tabari IX:22 “The Prophet continued to besiege the town, fighting them bitterly.” Tabari IX:25 “By Allah, I did not come to fight for nothing. If they were to respond and submit, he was to teach them the Book of Allah, the Sunnah of His Prophet, and the requirements of Islam. If they should decline, then he was to fight them.” Tabari IX:88 “Abdallah Azdi came to the Messenger, embraced Islam, and became a good Muslim. Allah’s Apostle invested Azdi with the authority over those who had surrendered and ordered him to fight the infidels from the tribes of Yemen. Azdi left with an army by the Messenger’s command. The Muslims besieged them for a month. Then they withdrew, setting a trap. When the Yemenites went in pursuit, Azdi was able to inflict a heavy loss on them.” Ishaq:530 “Get out of his way, you infidel unbelievers. Every good thing goes with the Apostle. Lord, I believe in his word. We will fight you about its interpretations as we have fought you about its revelation with strokes that will remove heads from shoulders and make enemies of friends.” Muslim:C9B1N29 “Command For Fighting Against People So Long As They Do Not Profess That There Is No Ilah (God) But Allah And Muhammad Is His Messenger: When the Messenger breathed his last and Bakr was appointed Caliph, many Arabs chose to become apostates [rejected Islam]. Abu Bakr said: ‘I will definitely fight against anyone who stops paying the Zakat tax, for it is an obligation. I will fight against them even to secure the cord used for hobbling the feet of a camel which they used to pay if they withhold it now.’ Allah had justified fighting against those who refused to pay Zakat.” Muslim:C9B1N33 “The Prophet said: ‘I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they establish prostration prayer, and pay Zakat. If they do it, their blood and property are protected.’” Muslim:C10B1N176 “Muhammad (may peace be upon him) sent us in a raiding party. We raided Huraqat in the morning. I caught hold of a man and he said: ‘There is no god but Allah,’ but I attacked him with a spear anyway. It once occurred to me that I should ask the Apostle about this. The Messenger said: ‘Did he profess “There is no god but Allah,” and even then you killed him?’ I said: ‘He made a profession out of the fear of the weapon I was threatening him with.’ The Prophet said: ‘Did you tear out his heart in order to find out whether it had professed truly or not?’” Muslim:C20B1N4597 “The Prophet said at the conquest of Mecca: ‘There is no migration now, but only Jihad, fighting for the Cause of Islam. When you are asked to set out on a Jihad expedition, you should readily do so.’” Muslim:C28B20N4628 “Allah has undertaken to provide for one who leaves his home to fight for His Cause and to affirm the truth of His word; Allah will either admit him to Paradise or will bring him back home with his reward and booty.” Muslim:C28B20N4629 “The Messenger said: ‘One who is wounded in the Way of Allah—and Allah knows best who is wounded in His Way—will appear on the Day of Judgment with his wound still bleeding. He said, ‘We shall fight on your right and on your left and in front of you and behind you.’ I saw the face of the Prophet getting bright with happiness, for that saying delighted him.” Bukhari:V5B59N290 “The believers who did not join the Ghazwa [Islamic raid or invasion] and those who fought are not equal in reward.” Qur’an:2:193 “Fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief) and religion is only for Allah. But if they cease/desist, let there be no hostility except against infidel disbelievers.” Qur’an:2:217 “They question you concerning fighting in the sacred month. Say: ‘Fighting therein is a grave (matter); but to prevent access to Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, to expel its members, and polytheism are worse than slaughter. Nor will they cease fighting you until they make you renegades from your religion. If any of you turn back and die in unbelief, your works will be lost and you will go to Hell. Grievously odious and hateful is it in the sight of Allah that you say that which you do not. Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in a battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure.” Bukhari:V4B52N61 “Allah’s Apostle! We were absent from the first battle you fought against the pagans. If Allah gives us a chance to do battle, no doubt, He will see how bravely we fight.” Ishaq:398 “Ask them for their help. They did not show weakness toward their enemies and were not humiliated when they suffered in the fight for Allah and their religion. That is steadfastness. Allah loves the steadfast.” Qur’an:3:153 “Behold! You ran off precipitately, climbing up the high hill without even casting a side glance at anyone, while the Messenger in your rear is calling you from your rear, urging you to fight. Allah gave you one distress after another by way of requital, to teach you not to grieve for the booty that had escaped you and for (the ill) that had befallen you.” Qur’an:3:154 “Say: ‘Even if you had remained in your houses, those ordained to be slaughtered would have gone forth to the places where they were to slain.” Ishaq:440 “Helped by the Holy Spirit we smited Muhammad’s foes. With Allah are plenteous spoils and booty.” Qur’an:4:95 “Not equal are believers who sit home and receive no hurt and those who fight in Allah’s Cause with their wealth and lives. In truth the disbelievers are your enemy.” Qur’an:4:102 “When you (Prophet) lead them in prayer, let some stand with you, taking their arms with them. When they finish their prostrations, let them take positions in the rear. And let others who have not yet prayed come—taking all precaution, and bearing arms. The Infidels wish, if you were negligent of your arms, to assault you in a rush. But there is no blame on you if you put away your arms because of the inconvenience of rain or because you are ill; but take precaution. For the Unbelieving Infidels Allah hath prepared a humiliating punishment.” Qur’an:4:104 “And do not relent in pursuing the enemy.” Hat tip to Race Bannon
