FREE THE CAPTIVES - POEM

CHANGE OF PACE: She took the time and effort to put this together and deserves the reward of being read. (I am still trying to find a Farsi poem written by a lady in Australia, which is on a CD that I have misplaced. I am determined to find and post it, so please hang in there Australia. You know who you are). ALSO: Check out new Amir Taheri article on NEWS VIEWS ISLAMIC IRAN MURDERS (click here) Free the Captives Inside the Islamic Republic of Iran By: Roxie Howard In 1979 a brutal religious clan Held hostage the citizens in Iran Disguised as an Islamic Revolution The Ayatollah hatched a barbaric solution The morally corrupt Ayatollah reigns Over captives shackled in religious chains Why is the world silent about the abomination Forced upon the citizens of the Iranian nation? Murder reigns Citizens in chains The imposed Mullah abuse Has freedom in a noose Wives without husbands ask Who will break this poison flask? Children without fathers cry They were never able to say goodbye A Mullah-made living hell An illusion of a savoir in a well A culture-of-death plantation An evil regime which devoured the nation The Mullahs have not killed freedom’s fight Nor stilled its voice by imposing fright The people shall triumph over freedom’s haters And bring the downfall of religious dictators The voice of the people shall never be stilled No matter how many brave souls are killed Be they Iranian or be they Persian They stand against religious perversion Help protect those led off to slaughter Do it in the name of a fatherless daughter Freedom is an inalienable right Which shall triumph over religious might The occupation of the religious insane Must no longer be permitted to reign Free the captives in the land And watch freedom grow in Iran
