A final agreement has been reached between African Press International (API) and Fox News Network (USA) on the dates to air the Michelle Obama tape arising from a discussion Mrs Obama had with the API two weeks ago.

The show will take place any day/time from now, with a 15 minutes alert on when it is to take place. Other programmes will be interrupted.

This is a precaution taken to avoid interference from any quarter.

In the agreement, Fox News Network will broadcast 39 minutes of the 54 minutes long tape. The whole tape cannot be aired unedited due to security reasons and especially due to the explosive political temperature in the country because of the Presidential elections that is just around the corner, November 4th.

The tape will be aired in two portions by two separate units in the Network.

API's representative will appear live in one of the shows.

The parties have agreed that the information to be released to the public on the agreement will not include the naming of the units at Fox News Network that will air the tapes in order to avoid outside pressure and influence of any kind before the show has taken place.

Nondisclosure of the name of the shows that will air the tapes has become necessary due to pressure from groups interested to block the release of the contents to the public.

Due to a huge interest in the tapes shown by some private individuals, groups belonging to some political camp(s) and persons connected to a section of an intelligence network, it has been decided that the 54 minutes long unedited tape is to be kept outside the United States in safe custody of one of API's Lawyers based in Ontario, Canada.

The day and time schedules of the broadcast will only be announced 15 minutes before the Show begins in order to avoid attempts to block the Show from airing the tapes.

Any pressure from any outside forces that may want to know the exact day and time schedule of the Show before-hand or any other details in the agreement will get no answers to their requests either from API or Fox News Network.

The decision to have the above information public was a difficult one due to the sensitivity of the case and huge interest against, and for, the release of the contents of the tape for public consumption.

FBI Seeking Information about Threatening Hoax Letters

Today the FBI issued photographs of a threatening hoax letter and its envelope, one of more than 50 such letters received this week by financial institutions in at least 11 states. Many of the letters have contained an unknown powder substance. The letters have all been postmarked from Amarillo, Texas.

The FBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and state and local authorities are investigating each of the incidents. Field tests conducted thus far on the powder have been negative.

Additional testing is being conducted at regional laboratories. The FBI and our law enforcement partners are following up on numerous leads.

“Sending a hoax letter is a serious crime, and a drain on law enforcement resources,” said Section Chief Doug Perdue, Investigative and Operations Section, FBI Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate. “We will continue to work diligently to identify and arrest those responsible.”

Anyone with information about these letters should contact the FBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, or their local authorities.

You can also submit a tip online at www.fbi.gov. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

Non-partisan and independent reviews and examinations of Obama’s birth certificate as shown on his official website has evidence of tampering and in any case does not list any of the points of information commonly found which would make it traceable and verifiable such as hospital, doctor, size weight, foot prints etc. Interestingly, all these state lawsuits would be dropped if Mr. Obama would simply provide the requested documents supporting his claim of being born in Hawaii. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Berg: Due to Procedure, Obama and DNC Admit all Allegations According to Rule 36 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, a party upon whom requests for admissions have been served must respond, within 30 days, or else the matters in the requests will be automatically deemed conclusively admitted for purposes of the pending action. On September 15, as part of his federal lawsuit contending that the Illinois senator is ineligible, pursuant to the U.S. Constitution, to serve as president of the United States, Philadelphia attorney Philip Berg served Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee with just such a request. Soon thereafter, on October 6, Barack Obama and the DNC acknowledged service in their motion for protective order, filed in an attempt to persuade the court to stay discovery. The Federal Rules require that a response to a request for admissions be served within the 30-day time limit, and Barack Obama and the DNC have not done so. Therefore, this morning, amidst news reports that Barack Obama will be suspending his campaign for a few days so he can fly to Hawaii to visit his grandmother, who has suddenly fallen ill, Philip Berg will file two motions in district court in Philadelphia: A motion requesting an immediate order deeming his request for admissions served upon Barack Obama and the DNC on September 15 admitted by default, and a motion requesting an expedited ruling and/or hearing on Berg’s motion deeming the request for admissions served upon Obama and the DNC admitted. Berg contends that the failure to respond and serve the response within the time limit is “damning,” and made two appearances overnight on Rollye James’ talk radio program, the second one coming shortly after midnight, during which he disclosed the meat of today’s filings and the legal and political ramifications of the defendants’ failure to respond. “They did not file answers or objections or anything else to the request for admissions we served upon them on September 15,” Berg said to me shortly before midnight, noting that Obama and the DNC did in fact acknowledge service of the admission in their motion for protective order. “They knew the admissions were due. They knew they must object or answer specifically in 30 days. Here, though, Berg could feasibly argue either that the request for admissions is not a true discovery mechanism and is actually meant to streamline the future need for discovery, or that the defendants’ acknowledged service of the request in their October 6 motion for protective order and failed, at that time, to specifically object or answer. The second option for the defense, still easily foreseen, is that Obama and the DNC could file a motion to withdraw admissions which have been deemed admitted. In order to file a motion to withdraw admissions deemed admitted by default, a party must show (1) “good cause” regarding why there was no response and (2) that such a motion to withdraw would not cause undue prejudice to the plaintiff. Here, Berg could contend that Obama and the DNC failed to meet those standards, that they cannot show “good cause” for failing to answer or object, and that withdrawing the admissions would cause undue prejudice. Still, for Berg, the issue is clear. He simply wanted answers or objections, he said, and instead received nothing. Rule 36, according to Berg, is fairly cut-and-dry. “It all comes down to the fact that there’s nothing from the other side,” Berg said. “The admissions are there. By not filing the answers or objections, the defense has admitted everything. He admits he was born in Kenya. He admits he was adopted in Indonesia. In a July 25 column titled "Who Owns Barack Obama?" we discussed Obama's phenomenal fundraising juggernaut. In July, Obama boasted that, as of May 31, his contributor base numbered some 1.5 million people, with one-fourth, or $66.25 million of his $265 million, coming from those contributing $2,000, or more... some 33,200 people.

Thus, the remainder, or $198.75 million, came from some 1.47 million people, each contributing $5, $10, $20... or, as Obama assured us, "whatever they could afford."

While it is true that Obama is the kind of guy who could read Bill Clinton's golf scorecard and make it sound convincing, simple arithmetic should have told him that $198.75 million dollars cannot be contributed by 1.47 million people in "$5, $10, or $20" amounts.

Each of those 1.47 million people would have had to contribute, on average, $135 to create a pool of $198.75 million... and that simply does not happen.

It has never happened before in American politics and it is not happening now.

Marxist-ideology mentored and Islamic-jihad influenced Obama has become America's secular Khomeini, intent on implementing his radical and carelessly destructive policies which will kill America as did Khomeini with Iran, when he turned it into an islamic republic. Similar to Khomeini, Obama has put together a cart and pony show of "popular support" by drawing crowds of significant numbers to represent his "messianic movement".

As did Khomeini, Obama uses "bribery" to attract followers. In Germany for Obama, it was live performances of very popular musicians to draw crowds.

After seeing that few were willing to gather in the streets on his behalf, Khomeini successfully began offering a sandwich with money inside the wrapper to draw supporters into the streets, where they had to be to receive the food and cash gift. Obama offers tax cuts to those who do not pay taxes - thus a "refund check" in money that was never paid to begin with (welfare, spreading of wealth). Khomeini offered free houses, free utilities, free phone service, a free car, a free refrigerator and a free color TV etc., etc. to anyone who would support his movement. In his own way, within American parameters, Obama offers something like that: drivers licenses to illegal immigrants, a fictitious 95% tax break (including to 40% who have no tax liabilities) to all Americans except those making $250,000 , special cheap housing he supported via Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac and perceived relief from living costs by a redistribution of wealth, taking from the "so-called" rich and giving it to the "poor". Another significant similarity is that neither Obama nor Khomeini have a claim to being a citizen of the country they destroyed or with Obama, is about to destroy. In Khomeini's case he did not have a single drop of Persian/Iranian blood in his veins. On TECHNICALITY, Obama has yet to show any verifiable document that he is not Kenyan/Indonesian by nationality rather than a U.S. :natural born" citizen as required by law to become presdient.

Besieged by demands from both sides of a campaign that has reached the white-hot stage, the agency said although it had the tapes, it would not release them immediately. Now, in a statement dated Friday because of the time difference, API Chief Editor Korir has promised that the tape will be made available after his lawyers clear it for publication, and he denied being an advocate either for or against Obama's campaign. He said the delay also is intended to allow Michelle Obama to explain her actions first. There was no response to a WND call to the Obama campaign headquarters in Chicago tonight to request a comment. "A number of Americans who are die-hard Obama followers have tried their best to intimidate API using all kinds of threatening methods when they call in and when they e-mail us," the API statement said. "They are implying that API is planning to destroy Obama's chances to become the next U.S. President. API does not have a direct interest in the U.S. Presidential elections and we want Obama supporters to understand that. They state clearly that if the story is true and released now, the contents will as[v]e (save) America from a constitutional crisis that may come if things come out after the elections that proves Obama was adopted by a foreigner, thus, disqualifying him from the presidency," Korir wrote. The statement confirmed that API "has recordings of the conversation between API and Mrs. Obama" and "we confirm that the audio will be released to the public." "In the last 24 hours, API has been consulting legal advisers on the way forward in order to avoid being sued by the Obama camp. API has realized that the contents of the tapes if made public may change the political atmosphere in America for ever, especially in the next few days," the statement said." API now understands the impact of the statements made by Mrs. Obama. The American people have reacted in a way we in API would never have expected. "Many have question[Ed] why Mrs. Obama would choose a little known online media group instead of the American media. API was chosen because of a Nairobi contact that did not like the way API was covering Barack Obama using information collected from American media outlets. The Nairobi contact prevailed upon Mrs. Obama to talk to API," the statement said."The only thing API may have done wrong is not informing Mrs. Obama that the conversation was being recorded. This is why it is taking time to release the recording while consulting a legal team because API wants to be legally safe from any Obama camp law suit," Korir wrote. "API is not out to convince the American public of anything. We do not want to influence the outcome of the U.S. presidential elections. API got a true story and published it. "When the legal concerns are cleared, which is happening in a short while, API will make public all the recordings available. "Even if our recordings or any other recordings had surfaced after the elections and if the contents were damaging to the elected person that still could have caused any elected president to vacate the White House. What so many fail to realize, even inside the country, is that clerics as a whole, have almost no schooling beyond learning to recite the Koran by rote and often only a few middle school grades. And the choice of those called to serve in the islamic republic in the highest of postions is not based on their experience or education but by nepotism. Remember, Supreme Ruler Ali Khamenei, used to be an uninvited, clerical beggar, asking for alms from funeral processions in Mashhad cemeteries, in return for some mumbled or loud prayers, where he did not know who was being buried and the relatives thought of him as a nuisance among several others who plied the same "trade".

It has been asserted by a number of sources, including Andy Martin, that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Mombasa, Kenya and not in Hawaii.

Philip Berg’s Latest Motion to the Court is more explicit since it gives an exact Place of Birth. I must assume that Berg did not simply pluck the Location out of thin air, Mombasa has more than one Hospital, though Coast Provincial General was the best in 1961.

British Birth Certificates have a Standard Format which has been more or less the same since 1837 and they can only be challenged in a British Court. Kenyan Law is explicit and can only be challenged in a Kenyan Court. Indonesian Law is explicit and can only be challenged in an Indonesian Court. Be clear, if Obama was born in Kenya this is not simply a matter for the US Courts, or US Law.

If he was born in Kenya, and his parents were Legally Married [which on the Preponderance of Evidence they were, his father's first "Marriage" being a Tribal, or Village, Marriage, which was not Legally Recognized] due to the age of his mother he would NOT have been a US Citizen. The Immigration and Nationality Act 1952, 8 U.S.C. 1401. Sec. 301 (g) [Effective November 14, 1986] does not apply, nor does Title III, Immigration and Nationality Act Section 309. [8 U.S.C. 1409].

Unless he has taken the Oath of Allegiance as a Naturalized Citizen since he was 18 years old, and if he was born in Mombasa, Kenya, Barack Hussein Obama II would not be a US Citizen, period. The issue of whether or not he was Natural Born under Article II of the Constitution of the United States would cease to matter and he would need to be Deported as an Illegal Alien.

Impeachment as a Senator would seem not to be necessary since he would never Legally have been one, but Diane Feinstein and the members of the Senate Ethics and Rules Committee would be liable to Impeachment. So would their opposite numbers in the Illinois Senate and the appropriate officials of the Illinois State Supreme Court and Bar, so far as I can see.

If Senator Barack Hussein Obama II was born in The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa in Kenya at 7.24 PM on August 4th 1961, or at any other time, he is not a Natural Born Citizen of these United States and he never was. Philip J Berg, Esq, is correct, under the Nationality Act of 1940, as Revised June 1952 and in accord with United States of America vs Cervantes-Nava 281 F 3d 501 (2002) and Drozd vs INS, 155 F 3d 81, 85-88 (2d Circuit 1998) Senator Barack Hussein Obama II would not ever have been a Legal US Citizen at all, unless he was Naturalized.

If he was born in The Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombasa in Kenya any Certificate, or Certification of Live Birth, issued for him by the State of Hawaii is a Fraudulent and Illegal Document. At Birth he would have been a UK and Colonies Citizen and in accord with the Kenyan Constitution he would have become a Kenyan Citizen in December 1963. He would not have been a US Citizen.

Alternatively, his UK and Colonies Birth Certificate issued in Mombasa in August 1961 could be a Fraudulent and Illegal Document. The two BCs would need to be compared. By this I mean the Original Vault Copy of the Hawaiian Birth Certificate and not the Amended, Post Adoption, Copy, Legally available to the Senator, assuming he was, as indicated by the Preponderance of Evidence, Adopted by Lolo Soetoro.

This case might also need to go through the UK and Kenyan Courts and becomes a Matter of International Law and Controversy.

Most media background pieces simply note Obama's involvement in a 1995 lawsuit on behalf of ACORN.

Obama's own website, as well as most major media, fail to reveal the full depth and extent of his relationship with the organization.

Attempts to hide evidence of Obama's involvement with ACORN have included wiping the web clean of potentially damaging articles that had appeared, and were previously publicly accessible.

Unfortunately, those behind the attempted cover-up failed to realize that in today's day and age, nothing disappears forever. There also exists another layer of the web, the hidden web, which is full of information included in proprietary scholarly databases where these very same "missing" articles can be easily uncovered.

Obama's campaign website states:

Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.

Is that really a FACT, or just another lie? Let's take a look at a quote from a 2004 article - Case Study: Chicago- The Barack Obama Campaign - written by Toni Foulkes, a Chicago ACORN Leader, which was published in the journal Social Policy. Did we mention that Social Policy recently pulled this particular article from their website, while leaving links to all other articles up?

"Obama took the case, known as ACORN vs. Edgar (the name of the Republican governor at the time) and we won. Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992 that made it possible for Carol Moseley Braun to win the Senate that year.

Project VOTE delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them).

Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office.

Thus it was natural for many of us to be active volunteers in his first campaign for State Senate and then his failed bid for U.S. Congress in 1996. By the time he ran for U.S. Senate, we were old friends."

Not only does Foulkes boast of Obama's ACORN leadership training, but also makes it clear that Obama's post-law school organizing of "Project VOTE" in 1992 was undertaken in direct partnership with ACORN. The tie between Project VOTE and ACORN is also something that Obama and others have attempted to disprove in recent weeks as ACORN has come under fire for allegations of voter registration fraud.

As recently as March 2008, the Los Angeles Times also made reference to Barack Obama's involvement with ACORN:

"At the time, Talbot worked at the social action group ACORN and initially considered Obama a competitor. But she became so impressed with his work that she invited him to help train her staff." (LA Times, March 2, 2008)

All this information was easily pulled up with minimal time investment. It took less than thirty minutes to find, despite attempts by some to bury the truth. If I could find this with little effort, imagine what could be dug up with a serious, in-depth investigation. Scary, isn't it?

Nevertheless, Barack Obama's campaign website continues to lie and deny the truth about his involvement and association with ACORN. No matter how many times you say it, it does not make it true. The facts do not lie, Senator Obama. It's time to come clean and tell the truth, and it's time for the American people to demand it.

It is a totalitarian ideology, and Islamists do want to make Europe and the US Islamist states. Don't wait for floggings in your local neighborhood. Consider the following incidences: 1. Muslim cab drivers in Minneapolis refusing fares where would-be passengers are carrying alcohol because it is a sin to drink in Islam. This first example exemplifies the lack of tolerance Islamists have for non-Muslims. It is one thing to believe drinking is a sin; it's quite another to enforce your opinion on others. PARIS - The French government has condemned in the firmest possible way a Fatwa in Morocco that would allow a nine-year-old girl to be married.

IR: Khomeini promises an emerging literate but still not educated nor sophisticated Iranian populace that when he comes to power, he will give them each a free house, a free car, a free color TV, free utilities, free phones AND divide the revenues from oil among them, giving them an American buying equivalent of $3,000 a MONTH per person so they could relax at home and not have to work. The Mullahs never stopped to realize that the Western world budgets for that year would NOT SUFFICE. even if it were possible to get that much building, manufacture or even import going to keep the promises. USA: Obama promises a still very financially unsophisticated American populace, specially on a national or global big picture basis, free health care, no taxes (95%), a mythical way out of the national economy catastrophe he and and his allies caused in the first place (see articles below), some of whom are still his financial advisers and cannot keep any of those promises. Khomeini the dictator could ORDER things to be done. Obama still has to follow legal channels, though if the Senate gets filibuster proof wins for the Democrats in the elections, America will be that much nearer to having a Khomeini type crazy, dictatorial "liberal/marxist" regime here but cloaked and hidden by Democrats bending or breaking the rules as they have done to win - take the hidden slush fund for ACORN as one of many examples. IR: Khomeini created his "palace guards", the Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), to protect him and his interests, no matter what. These have expanded to include the Bassiji Suppression Forces and a myriad official and semi-official groups, who maim, torture and kill. USA: The clearly less violent Obama NATIONAL Youth movement he proposes to establish is a page from fascist or Nazi days of Hitler Black Shirts or Mussolini's Brown Shirt movements. As a perfect example of Islamic-Marxist ideology, Obama has campaigned exactly along Communist/Soviet penetration strategy and tactics they have used over and over and Khomeini untenable promises that fool the people. Again, sitting here, somewhat disheartened at the prospect of losing another great country, the USA, to the likes of Obama, a false prophet like Khomeini was for Iran, it is so much deja-vu in the cooking of another disaster with different ingredients but the same recipe. How can so much of the American population be so stupid or so inexperienced as to fall into Obama's Marxist-Islamic trap? Has not Britain sinking into officially implementing sharia (Moslem) law not caused any alarm here? Have they even heard about it? Have a clue what it means? After fighting segregation of blacks and whites, are we all, through Obama, like via Khomeini, driving ourselves into as bad or worse Moslem and non-Moslem SEGREGATION? Of our nation's laws being overridden by sharia demands? Of boys and girls being segregated in all activities? Of public swimming pools refusing to allow non-Moslems to use them because they would pollute the water for Moslems? The pool matter was an actual case in England. School sports are being reduced or banned because girls and boys are inappropriately dressed and are in proximity with each other. Where music is banned in some parts of schools such as ballet or choir practise that has opposite sexes participating. Where a woman is refused medication at a pharmacy by the Moslem check out clerk or in a super market another will not ring up a pack of pork sausages and a manager has to be called in? And a barely schooled Mullah. who can recite the Koran but has studied nothing else, and approves of "honor killings" of daughters by males of her family, decides your fate after your husband reveals he is a Moslem? That motion is rather crafty done (to the point of likely being effective, both in my opinion as well as my sources at the federal courthouse. Obama’s CAIR lawyer raises the issue of “irreducible constitutional minimum of standing” and cites a 2008 Superior Court case that supports dismissal on those grounds alone. To add to the fatal blows about to be delivered to Berg, Obama’s lawyer also cites a similar case from 2000 saying, basically, is “Hey Berg, Obama’s placement on the ballot won’t affect you, so you have no constitutional grounds to challenge him. Further, this was tried (and failed) with Bush/Cheney in Texas, and summarily dismissed.” Compelling and effective arguments. The Bush Administration warned of the problems and tried in 2003 to introduce legislation to control/regulate Fannie May & Freddie Mac. DEMOCRATS killed the bill and prevented the fraud from surfacing, going public to tell everyone there was nothing wrong.. The following year, 2004, The Bush Administration AGAIN tried to pass a bill to regulate the housing market, the DEMOCRATS killed it again. Every Republican voted for the regulations and every Democrat in the Senate voted against it, With filibuster power the Senate Democrats effectively killed the effort. In 2005, McCain again raised the specter of a collapse and again the Democrats shelved it and refused to consider action. The New York Times wrote this when the slippery slope was built in 1999. The idea was born earlier around 1995 but went into full swing in 1999. 1999 In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders. The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring. Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits. In addition, banks, thrift institutions and mortgage companies have been pressing Fannie Mae to help them make more loans to so-called subprime borrowers. These borrowers whose incomes, credit ratings and savings are not good enough to qualify for conventional loans, can only get loans from finance companies that charge much higher interest rates -- anywhere from three to four percentage points higher than conventional loans. ''Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 1990's by reducing down payment requirements,'' said Franklin D. Raines, Fannie Mae's chairman and chief executive officer. ''Yet there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required who have been relegated to paying significantly higher mortgage rates in the so-called subprime market.'' Demographic information on these borrowers is sketchy. But at least one study indicates that 18 percent of the loans in the subprime market went to black borrowers, compared to 5 per cent of loans in the conventional loan market. In moving, even tentatively, into this new area of lending, Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk, which may not pose any difficulties during flush economic times. But the government-subsidized corporation may run into trouble in an economic downturn, prompting a government rescue similar to that of the savings and loan industry in the 1980's. ''From the perspective of many people, including me, this is another thrift industry growing up around us,'' said Peter Wallison a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. ''If they fail, the government will have to step up and bail them out the way it stepped up and bailed out the thrift industry.'' Under Fannie Mae's pilot program, consumers who qualify can secure a mortgage with an interest rate one percentage point above that of a conventional, 30-year fixed rate mortgage of less than $240,000 -- a rate that currently averages about 7.76 per cent. If the borrower makes his or her monthly payments on time for two years, the one percentage point premium is dropped. Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, does not lend money directly to consumers. Instead, it purchases loans that banks make on what is called the secondary market. By expanding the type of loans that it will buy, Fannie Mae is hoping to spur banks to make more loans to people with less-than-stellar credit ratings. Fannie Mae officials stress that the new mortgages will be extended to all potential borrowers who can qualify for a mortgage. But they add that the move is intended in part to increase the number of minority and low income home owners who tend to have worse credit ratings than non-Hispanic whites. Home ownership has, in fact, exploded among minorities during the economic boom of the 1990's. The number of mortgages extended to Hispanic applicants jumped by 87.2 per cent from 1993 to 1998, according to Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies. During that same period the number of African Americans who got mortgages to buy a home increased by 71.9 per cent and the number of Asian Americans by 46.3 per cent. In contrast, the number of non-Hispanic whites who received loans for homes increased by 31.2 per cent. Despite these gains, home ownership rates for minorities continue to lag behind non-Hispanic whites, in part because blacks and Hispanics in particular tend to have on average worse credit ratings. In July, the Department of Housing and Urban Development proposed that by the year 2001, 50 percent of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's portfolio be made up of loans to low and moderate-income borrowers. Last year, 44 percent of the loans Fannie Mae purchased were from these groups. The change in policy also comes at the same time that HUD is investigating allegations of racial discrimination in the automated underwriting systems used by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to determine the credit-worthiness of credit applicants.
