Wow, according to Fox News, Janet Napolitano (click here)   just described what happened at Fort Hood as “violent Islamic extremism.”

This is quite a step. How long did it take her to figure this one out?

It must be hard, after all, when you’re a person who heads Homeland Security but who has no idea who the 9/11 hijackers were – and thinks that they came from Canada.

It’s really difficult when your first instinct after Abdulmutallab almost blew himself up on Northwest Airlines Flight 253, is to say that the airport security “system worked.”

Hmmm, I wonder if Napolitano will now confirm that thirteen American heroes lost their lives at Fort Hood precisely because of people like her, who have created a culture in which naming Islamic extremism and crystallizing its roots is disallowed?

Major Nidal Malik Hasan would have been thrown out of the army a long time before his shooting spree if members of the army were not afraid to get in trouble for violating “diversity” and felt safe to point a finger at a Muslim who was preaching hate and violence against non-Muslims.

Will Napolitano and the Obama administration now make an issue out of where Hasan got his “violent Islamic extremism” from?

Indeed, from where oh where could Hasan have possibly got the idea that he was supposed to kill the kafir? Hmmm, could it have been from the Verse of the Sword of the Koran (9:5)?

Hmmm, could it have been from all the other Koranic verses? (i.e. 9:29).

This is just all so mysterious.

Is the Obama administration now going to talk about how Hasan’s and Abdullmutallab’s actions, and, well, you know, things like 9/11, just might have something to do with the fact that  61% of Koran (click here)  is devoted to the hatred of non-Muslims, that 75% of the Sira (the life of Mohammed) is devoted to jihad, and that 20% of the Hadith is in reference to the necessity of subjugating and killing the infidel?

I wonder, could any of this have anything to do with the fact that nowhere in Islamic theology is there even one positive reference to kafirs and even the slightest suggestion that a Muslim should love them as much as he loves himself?

How do we win this terror war if our administration not only refuses to fight the enemy on many realms, but to even name him?

(Alan note: and Oba-Hussein obstructs any efforts to confront it and ensures all appointments, including czars, provide Islam unusual supremacy through discriminatory protection not given to other religions. Nor in fact to political factions which is what Islam really is rather than a religion.

The Oba-Hussein attitude and actions parallel his discriminatory and supportive actions for the felonious ACORN organization, as if they were just another "goody, goody" pure as snow group rather than community thugs, who despite being banned, once again are in the pipeline for BILLIONS of our tax dollars.

Observing all this underlines that Oba-Hussein is acting as a good, loyal, ideological Moslem should according to the Koran and provides proof, Reverend Wright notwithstanding,  of his Moslem affiliation since childhood)

The issue here is not to demonize Muslims. Many Muslims, like Tarek Fatah and Irshad Manji, are fighting to reform Islam and to bring it into the modern and democratic world. We must support them.

Millions of Muslims suffer from persecution under Sharia Law. We must help them.

The key is that it is time to be honest about what Islamic theology inspires and sanctions. The key is that the onus is on the Muslim world to confront these teachings and to negate them if there is to be any possibility for an end to this conflict.

Napolitano’s step is a positive one. But do we hold our breath for the Obama administration to step up to the plate and to name not only Islamic Jihad (click here)   as our enemy, but to also name the Islamic theology that spawns it?

Three elderly men are at the doctor’s office for a memory test. The doctor asks the first man, “What is three times three?” “274,” is his reply.

The doctor rolls his eyes and looks up at the ceiling, and says to the second man, “It’s your turn. What is three times three?” “Tuesday,” replies the second man.

The doctor shakes his head sadly, then asks the third man, “Okay, your turn. What’s three times three?” “Nine,” says the third man.

“That’s great!” says the doctor. “How did you get that?”

“Simple,” he says, “just subtract 274 from Tuesday.”

Alan Note: LATEST NEWS: Ahmadi-Nejad is trying hard to remove the green strip of the tricolor red, white and green national flag and replace it with another color to show the "green" protest movement has no place in Islamic Iran.

In the face of green being the basic color of Islam around much of the world his efforts are facing resistance from the clergy, from which he is distancing himself toward his supporters in the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, where he was a Commander and the paramilitary Bassiij and similar suppression forces under the command of middle son, Mojtaba Khamenei.

The clergy in Islamic Iran are generally a quiet, self-centered,  bottom feeding group, living parasitically off the populace,  with only a handful of them in power and wielding power and beating their chests like gorillas to scare off others. The rest are mostly ignored and dismissed out of hand by the regime.

Those wearing white turbans, who appear more vociferous are more than likely to be security agents of the Ministry of Information and Security (MOIS) in disguise to influence the people and gather information.

At the UN’s Universal Periodic Review on Iran’s human rights record, the US’s Posner spoke for a grand total of 2 minutes.

The Obama administration revealed a major plank of its Iran plan this week at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. While Iranian dissidents are dying on the streets, locked up in torture chambers or corralled into show trials, the president is desperate to seem to be doing something.

What better venue for keeping up appearances than the UN?

Hence, during a concoction called the “universal periodic review” (UPR), Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Michael Posner gave a speech on Monday critical of various Iranian abominations – for a grand total of two minutes.

The UPR process is touted as the centerpiece of the operations of the Human Rights Council, the UN’s lead human rights body created over Bush administration objections in 2006. Posner did not use the occasion on the world stage to mention by name the American citizens now being held hostage in Iran or to demand their immediate release.

The whole UPR spectacle is structured so as to focus on one country for three hours once every four years. The country under consideration is allotted one of those precious three hours. In Iran’s case, the delegation, headed by Mohammad Javad Larijani, secretary general of the High Council of Human Rights, used the UN-provided opportunity to spend over an hour regaling the world about its glorious human rights record. The delegation included two women wearing heavy chadors who were permitted to exalt women’s rights in Iran, and a Christian brought in to applaud the situation of non-Muslims.

In addition, 54 states raced through their two-minute remarks, having time to do little else than line up pro and anti the regime’s behavior. The regime’s apologists had the last word – which was actually met by a round of applause.

Western states managed to list a few problems, like a criminal code which advocates stoning. On the other side, the likes of Sudan, China, Cuba, Syria and Zimbabwe spoke about Iran’s commitment to democracy. NGOs were not allowed to speak.

The UN secretariat from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights took great pains not to be perceived as taking sides, since apparently the Iranian human rights record was not sufficiently clear. They managed to ensure that there were exactly 27 states on either side of the debate over Iran’s human rights credentials.

Council President Alex Van Meeuwen of Belgium inserted himself into the proceedings only twice. The first came after Larijani referred to “Zionist terrorists.”

Although the UN staff would have had the remarks in advance, only after the fact did Van Meeuwen announce that all statements should show respect.

Then, without provocation, he made a similar statement following the two minutes of Israeli Ambassador to the UN Aharon Leshno-Yaar, who had merely called upon Iranian leaders to cease denying the Holocaust. The UN’s idea of even-handedness.

AFTER MONDAY, there are two more steps in the UPR process. An outline of Monday morning’s remarks will be prepared, including any recommendations made. Iran will then be given an opportunity to accept or reject such recommendations.

And some months down the road a report containing a summary of the whole exercise will be adopted by the Human Rights Council. The council process will be carefully orchestrated to last one hour: 20 minutes’ speaking time for the country concerned, 20 minutes’ speaking time for states and 20 minutes speaking time for all NGOs.

After that, reports are immediately gaveled through, despite the fact that all human rights abusing states routinely reject all of the genuine recommendations.

Iran is not the slightest bit concerned that the council will translate Posner’s two minutes into anything that bites. The council has never adopted a resolution worried about human rights in Iran; it’s too busy condemning Israel more often than all the other 191 UN states combined. Back in 2002, the former commission eliminated the position of UN human rights investigator on Iran, and the chance of it reappearing as a consequence of these proceedings are zero.

So when the Obama administration touts its 120-second speech as evidence of its effort to get serious about Iran, or as an excuse for having joined the UN’s viciously anti-Israel Human Rights Council, be warned.

Eleven-Man Team Assassinates Hamas Commander (Updated)

Anatomy of an assassination. (Update: "Our investigations reveal that Mossad is involved.")

February 18, 2010 - by Annie Jacobsen (See update at end of article.)

Last month, on the night of January 19, Hamas military commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh arrived in Dubai, oddly without his bodyguards. He checked into the five-star Al-Bustan Rotana Hotel. He was allegedly on a weapons-buying trip.

A little after midnight that same night, eleven European tourists arrived at the Dubai airport carrying tennis rackets and various kinds of sporting equipment, apparently on vacation. Images of the group were captured on CCTV cameras at the airport.

The following afternoon, one of the eleven European tourists checked into the Al-Bustan Rotana Hotel, specifically into room 237 located directly across the hall from where al-Mabhouh was staying in room 230. Throughout the day, all eleven Europeans roamed around the luxury hotel. CCTV camera footage released by the Dubai police shows one of the tourists entering a bathroom. When he emerges, he’s wearing a false beard and a baseball cap. The group was not made up of tourists; rather, they were an assassination team on a mission to kill the commander from Hamas. One member of the hit squad, a female, roams around the hotel in a dark wig, a floppy hat, and sunglasses.

That evening, a little after 8:00 p.m., Mabhouh arrived back at the hotel and immediately went to his room. According to Dubai’s chief of police Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, forensic tests indicate that within the hour, Mabhouh was dead, having been suffocated to death. Two hours after the attack, the assassins left Dubai. They were in the country for only 19 hours.

For weeks, Dubai police quietly investigated the crime. And then earlier this week, Dubai police announced that through Interpol they had issued arrest warrants for the eleven European suspects, as well as six other people they say may have helped facilitate the crime. Dubai police also released the CCTV footage which has been captivating British TV audiences all week. The team of assassins, disguised with beards, hats, and tennis racquets, can be seen conducting surveillance around the hotel. Lieutenant General Tamim told reporters: “We have identified the suspects … and will take legal action against anyone or any party which will prove to stand behind the murder.”

At this point, the story gets complicated. The assassins used the identities of British, Irish, German and French citizens, a number of whom claim never to have been to Dubai. British citizen Melvyn Mildiner is one of the individuals the Dubai police named as a member of the assassin team. Mildiner told the Daily Mail he has never even been in Dubai. “It’s not me,” he said. “I don’t know how this happened or who chose my name or why, but hopefully we’ll find out soon.” Mildiner says that the picture of him released by Dubai police is also not the picture he has in his own passport. Another one of the British suspects is 54-year-old Michael Lawrence Barney. “I’ve just had a quadruple heart bypass, I’m not exactly spy material,” Barney said from his home in Israel. As for the alleged Irish citizens, Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs says that none of the people named as assassins from Ireland actually exist. There has been little said of the men allegedly of German and French nationalities.

Hamas accuses Israel of ordering the assassination. Israel’s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told Israel Army Radio that the evidence was circumstantial. “There is no reason to think that it was the Israeli Mossad, and not some other intelligence service or country up to some mischief,” Lieberman said. He also did not deny Israel’s involvement. Meanwhile, the foreign office in London is remaining relatively quiet about the matter, saying only that the investigation is in a very early stage.

There is a strange twist. Just two weeks before his death, Mahmoud al-Mabhouh made a video confession. For the record, he admits to his role in the 1989 kidnapping and murdering of two Israeli soldiers, Ilan Saadon and Avi Sasportas. It is not clear why Mabhouh would make a video confession like this after two decades and just weeks before his own murder.

(To read a timeline of the events and watch a video of the suspects, click here.)

Update (10:45 PST):

Things are ratcheting up in the Persian Gulf.

Dubai police chief Lt. Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim has now officially fingered Mossad in last month’s murder of a Hamas commander there. “Our investigations reveal that Mossad is involved in the murder of al-Mabhouh,” he told the English-language newspaper The National. “It is 99% if not 100% that Mossad is standing behind the murder.”

And yet two additional suspects, both Palestinians, are also in custody in Dubai on charges that they helped the 11-man assassination team. Tamim says the men are linked to Fatah, which is Hamas’ rival.

Haaretz identified the Palestinian suspects in custody as Ahmad Hasnin, a Palestinian intelligence agent, and Anwar Shekhaiber, a man who works for the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah.

As tensions rise between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, they also rise between Hamas and Fatah. Fatah receives money and support from the United States, but working with Israel is colluding with public enemy No.1.

Still no word on why Mabhouh left his safe haven in Damascus, Syria, without his own personal security team. Rumors are that Mabhouh was in Dubai buying weapons from Iran.

Not even your name! NOR anything else about you!

SPREAD THE WORD and maintain your privacy and that of "we the people" the Constitution protects but the Obam team is hell bent on circumventing.

The Obama administration, in their Power grab efforts, have moved the Census from the Commerce Department to the WHITE HOUSE, to control it and the information gathered from people who do not know they CANNOT be threatened with penalties for refusing to answer anything else and need only answer one question.

On January 20, 2009 President Barack Obama promised to “begin again the work of remaking America.” He wasn’t kidding. In his first year Barack Obama and Democrats set all kinds of spending records. They managed to triple the national debt in a year and watched the unemployment rate jump to double digits. President Obama dithered and waffled on national security and joined with Marxist dictators to side against an American ally.

But you haven’t seen anything yet. The democrats in Congress are moving closer to passing the most radical anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-family bill through Congress that we have seen in decades.

HR4530 is a radical Safe Schools Czar’s dream come true.

Forget reading, writing and arithmatic, Democrats have more important subjects in mind for your child. Democrats are working to push HR 4530 through Congress. This bill will force educators to prohibit harassment, violence and discrimination faced by students based on their sexual orientation.

That doesn’t sound so bad, but that’s not all it does. The bill will also allows educators and education officials like Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings to push their radical agenda in the classroom. And, if you don’t like the new policies or object to the program, the bill authorizes the federal government to cut off the educational assistance to schools that fail to enforce the new rules.

Critics of the bill understand the law would give the controversial Safe Schools Czar, Kevin Jennings, almost unlimited authority to mandate sexual indoctrination in public schools at taxpayer expense.

It won’t matter what your child is taught at home, this bill will allow radical educators to push their agenda in public schools despite your possible concerns.

U.S. Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) introduced HR 4530 School Non-Discrimination Act of 2010 late last month to prohibit harassment, violence and discrimination faced by students based on their sexual orientation.

The bill “prohibits public school students from being excluded from participating in, or subject to discrimination under, any federally-assisted educational program on the basis of their actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity or that of their associates.” The law considers perceived harassment to be a form of discrimination.

The bill authorizes federal departments and agencies to enforce these new rules by cutting off the educational assistance of recipients found to be violating them. It allows an aggrieved individual to assert a violation of this Act in a judicial proceeding and recover reasonable attorney’s fees should they prevail. 65 democrats signed on to this bill. The bill was referred to the House Committee on Education and Labor on January 27, 2010.

According to Metro Weekly:

The bill would require that no student in public schools be “excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance” based on the student’s sexual orientation or gender identity. The bill also would prohibit harassment based on either characteristic.

It sounds innocent enough until you look at its real intent.

The purpose of this bill is not what is being stated, but is quite simply to mandate in public schools one acceptable viewpoint on the issue of homosexuality, using purported violence or harassment as the rationale, and the power of the feds as the hammer.

The goal is to silence those who may warn about or object to student expression of homosexuality or gender confusion…

The federal governmental intrusion and sweeping new unregulated powers in what are local and state matters are proposed in this bill. Enforcement will primarily be through federal agencies, which will craft new regulations to back up this bill’s provisions with the President’s approval. Can you spell “czar”?

In other words, if you oppose radical sexual material detailing sex between first graders or promoting S&M (SADISM & MASOCHISM) but the Safe Schools Czar or some other official believes it is appropriate - tough!

If you disagree with books romanticizing child rape or books with pictures of men having sex- tough!

If you oppose weekend student-teacher seminars with fisting lectures and gay bar guides- tough!

If government officials want to promote this in your child’s classroom then you’ll just have to get used to it.

No one wants to see a child picked on, harrassed or ridiculed, but this bill takes government control to a whole new level.

It is a radical’s dream come true. This bill is a direct assault on our nation’s moral fabric.

Is there any doubt that Obama is a Muslim, maybe even a terrorist-enabler/sponsor himself?

The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs reported that the Israeli government was also refusing to protest massive U.S. weapons projects for Arab rivals in the Middle East, which has eroded Israel’s military superiority over its neighbors

Over the last year, the United States refused to approve any major Israeli weapons requests. Government sources asserted that the refusal represented a White House policy to link most arms sales to Israel to progress in the U.S. plan to establish a Palestinian state in the West Bank.

At the same time, Obama has approved more than $10 billion worth of arms sales to Arab League states, including Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. JINSA said Israel, which receives more than $2.4 billion in annual American military aid, refrained from objecting to U.S. plans to sell F-16s, Harpoon Block 2 anti-ship missiles, Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, fast attack craft and helicopters to Egypt.

In a Jan. 27 report, the institute, regarded as close to the Defense Department and U.S. military, said the White House has blocked key weapons projects and upgrades for Israel. JINSA said Obama rejected Israel’s request for AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters while approving advanced F-16 multi-role fighters for Egypt. “Indeed, Israel’s request for six AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters was blocked by the Obama Administration in June – the same time the Egyptian sale was approved,” the report said.

The administration’s policy, the report said, has violated a pledge given more than 40 years ago to maintain Israel’s military superiority over its Arab neighbors.

“How does Israel compete when the Obama administration announces 24 more F-16s for Egypt and 24 additional F-16s for Morocco,” the report said. “The concept of the Qualitative Military Edge failed to keep up with the changes in U.S. arms sales and training policy over the decades.”

JINSA dismissed Israeli government claims that the White House was ready to address the erosion of Israel’s military superiority. The institute said the January 2010 visit by U.S. National Security Advisor James Jones did not concern Israel’s qualitative military edge.

“Actually, it was to push Israel into more pointless talks with Palestinians, who declined to cooperate,” the institute said.

The U.S. aid to Arab states, the report said, has hampered Israeli military cooperation with Washington. More than 20 years ago, the Israel Air Force stopped participating in U.S.-sponsored regional exercises to prevent the leakage of combat tactics. ”It’s one thing for our lover to take pictures in the bedroom,” the report quoted an Israeli combat pilot as saying. “It is another for them to sell the pictures on the street.”

JINSA said Israel has lost its advantage over the Arabs regarding the quantity and quality of weapons. The institute said the Arabs also appear to have caught up to Israel in the area of tactics and training. The sole advantage was said to concern the quality of Israeli soldiers and officers. ”Changing Israel’s local security paradigm at the same time as increased sales to the neighbors — and no new sales to Israel – means the balance is pushed further out of whack,” the report said. IUC

Commentary by Emanuel A. Winston, Middle East Analyst & Commentator Perhaps I shouldn’t have been shocked by the news in the following J.I.N.S.A. (Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs) Report in the World Tribune that President Obama has embargoed arm sales to Israel for a whole year – nevertheless, I am.

This confirms that President Barack Hussein Obama is in lockstep with Muslim and Arab nations who wish to insure Israel’s evacuation from the world map (not just Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights, the Jordan Valley and those parts of Jerusalem occuppied and desecrated by Jordan) as promised by Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Clearly, Obama is coming out more and more as an Islamist at heart, which explains why he has allowed Iran to move its Nuclear Bomb Research and Development forward – with nothing more than impotent threats from Obama and his advisors.

With Rahm Emanuel, James Baker III, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Gen. (Ret.) James Jones as his security advisors – plus Baker’s Jew-Boys, Dennis Ross, Aaron David Miller and Daniel Kurtzer still operating, it’s little wonder Obama was able to (silently) subvert Israel’s defensive capability.

All Obama needed were three key Israelis to go along in sniveling silence to complete his attack against the Jewish Nation/State. That would include Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and President Shimon Peres.

Some will recall June 2,1967 when Charles De Gaulle, Premier of France embargoed arms to Israel for which Israel had already bought and paid – in full. That included 50 Mirage jet aircraft and 12 missile boats. The Israelis, with the help of friendly Frenchmen, simply spirited 3 of the boats out of Cherbourg Harbor on January 4, 1969. The remaining five were sailed to Israel on December 24/25, 1969 by some 70 blond, blue-eyed (Hebrew speaking) Norwegian sailors. The traitorous government of France fumed and apologized to the Arabs for their “slippage”.

Let us make certain that the U.S. Congress, every talk show, every newspaper, every news magazine is apprised of Obama’s treachery which seems to be his signature of the way he operates. Perhaps he and his advisors have overlooked what Israel could and should do when he puts Israel’s very survival on line – called “Back To The Wall”. Striking Israel’s self-declared enemies with unconventional weapons would be a “Back-To-The-Wall” option, forced upon her by Obama.

Samson was tricked by the infamous Delilah who cut of his hair and source of strength. When his hair re-grew and he regained his strength (after the Philistines blinded him), although he was chained to the pillars that supported the pagan temple, he pulled down the pillars, killing all the evil priests – giving his life for the Jewish people. You don’t want to mess with the Israelis when survival is on the line.

It’s all happening again – with Barack Hussein Obama as the High Priest of a Pagan Death Cult infiltrating America.

Russia tells Netanyahu it will hold off on Iran arms deal

Barak Ravid,
Haaretz Correspondent in Moscow

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Monday assured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that it would hold off on its contract to sell an advanced air defense system to Iran.

Israel has repeatedly asked Russia to scrap its contract over the sale of the S-300 system to Iran. Netanyahu said he had received assurances from the Russian leader during their talks on Monday that Moscow understood the seriousness of the issues involved for regional stability.

They have heard of the French Revolution and the storming of the Bastille prison. And prisons were stormed in the 1979 revolution and all prisoners released including murderers and other felons, whose arrests had nothing to do with politics.

FARTHER DOWN the page is the Philadelphia case, here is the Washington D.C. one:

Getting more and more interesting.

“I'm worried about the consequences of an amphibious assault on the fortified coast of Europe".

Can you imaging General Marshall saying that in 1944?

I'm sure he thought about it, but would never say it.

Meanwhile Oba-Hussein spends time worrying about gays in the military and not Islamic Iran nukes.

Sick of *unintended* consequences talk. (what kind of crap is that coming from an US Admiral anyways)

Everything has consequences. In this case, mushroom clouds over Israel and US bases in the ME if we don’t act in time.

If you think radical Islam is not a threat here, think again. The Muslim Student Union at UCI has been permitted to create an atmosphere of anti-Israeli hatred, sponsor events to raise funds for Hamas, and has scheduled a "Hate Week" in May.

UCI President Drake has refused to do anything to suppress such behavior, maintaining that an attitude of free speech must prevail. I have attended such events at UCI and seen first hand how Muslims attempt to disrupt, terrorize, prevent free speech, and physically harass bystanders who object to their conduct.

In my opinion Dr. Drake needs to go. The MSU needs to be barred from campus, and students of any persuasion who engage in such conduct need to be arrested and suspended. If our universities are not teaching rational and respectful discussion and resolution of disagreements, they should be de-funded.

Muslim Student Associations exist on 600-700 U.S. colleges and universities.

Under the Obama Administration protection of Jihadists, they are now being formed in High Schools. We have them in six of our Orange Country high schools. These MSAs were formed by the Muslim Brotherhood for the specific purpose of recruiting students and radicalizing them to serve, upon graduation, in other Islamic front organizations of the Muslim Brotherhood and carry out their plans for the conquest of America from within, their formally stated intention.

And...the O.C. Register, while it did report the event, did not even identify the disrupters as Muslims!

Can you imagine the Media, White House and radical groups outcry and prosecutions for HATE SPEECH which would ensue if a bunch of Christians did this to a Moslem speaker? Or even to a gay one?

Wake up America and take your country back from Oba-Hussein! Vote out his Senate and Congressional support and disarm his radical Marxist-Islamist impositions on on our American cuture and beliefs.

NOTE: LARGE Billboards are reportedly appearing urging impeachment of Oba-Hussein!

Obama has grovelled, praised, licked Islamic toes and brown nosed most of the world (for visitors from 80 countries to AntiMullah whose English is not their first language, means "put his nose up someone's rear end like dogs do) in the name of America but to no avail and to great shame for us the people. (Read his Cairo speech below and decide for yourself).
Showing his weakness to a big slice of the world that respects only brutal strength, he has put us all in danger anywhere and everywhere outside our country.

AND INSIDE America as he openly imports thousands of Palestinian (potential terrorists among them) at huge taxpayer cost, who can turn on us at the drop of a hat, provides hundreds of rabid Jihadi Islamists, many from Islamic Iran's Intelligence Ministery (MOIS)  "religious visas" to come here and spread their poison in mosques and organize suiciders and sleeper cells, estimated at 40,000 TRAINED America haters already In place AND prevents other radical  Islamists like Major Hasan from being criticized and investigated, even AFTER they kill EIGHT of our military and wound 30 others. Still no report has been allowed to appear, nor to formally name Hasan as a Moslem Jihadist.

AND in the meantime brainwashes our naive, young children, who know nothing of politics, real life, nor reality in  a harsh world, to sing his praises, urged on by adoring teachers,  whose life in a coddled, Union protected, limited social environment,  and know little more than the children they teach. (See video  below).

No wonder huge billboards have appeared urging his impeachment!

American Nationals Face Worldwide Threat From Terrorists:

(Thanks Obama!)

The Times of India, New Delhi, INDIA - 13 February 2010

WASHINGTON: US on Saturday issued a worldwide travel alert to its citizens, warning them against threats from terrorists mainly al-Qaeda who may carry out attacks by employing suicide operations, kidnappings and bombings.

Cautioning them to be alert, the state department said there had been several incidents in this regard in the recent past. It also said that demonstrations and riotings can occur with little or no warning.

"US citizens are reminded to maintain a high level of vigilance and to take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness," the State Department said in a 'worldwide caution'.

Expressing concern about the continued threat of terrorist attacks, demonstrations, and other violent actions against US citizens and interests overseas, the State Department said Americans are reminded that demonstrations and rioting can occur with little or no warning.

"Current information suggests that al-Qaeda and affiliated organisations continue to plan terrorist attacks against US interests in multiple regions, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East," the statement said, adding that these attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics including suicide operations, assassinations, kidnappings, hijackings, and bombings.

"I am honoured to be in the timeless city of Cairo, and to be hosted by two remarkable institutions. For over a thousand years, al-Azhar has stood as a beacon of Islamic learning, and for over a century, Cairo University has been a source of Egypt's advancement. Together, you represent the harmony between tradition and progress. I am grateful for your hospitality, and the hospitality of the people of Egypt. I am also proud to carry with me the goodwill of the American people, and a greeting of peace from Muslim communities in my country: "assalaamu alaykum".

WASHINGTON — With much of his legislative agenda stalled in Congress, President Obama and his team are preparing an array of actions using his executive power to advance energy, environmental, fiscal and other domestic policy priorities.

Mr. Obama has not given up hope of progress on Capitol Hill, aides said, and has scheduled a session with Republican leaders on health care later this month. But in the aftermath of a special election in Massachusetts that cost Democrats unilateral control of the Senate, the White House is getting ready to act on its own in the face of partisan gridlock heading into the midterm campaign.

“We are reviewing a list of presidential executive orders and directives to get the job done across a front of issues,” said Rahm Emanuel, the White House chief of staff.

Any president has vast authority to influence policy even without legislation, through executive orders, agency rule-making and administrative fiat. And Mr. Obama’s success this week in pressuring the Senate to confirm 27 nominations by threatening to use his recess appointment power demonstrated that executive authority can also be leveraged to force action by Congress.

Mr. Obama has already decided to create a bipartisan budget commission under his own authority after Congress refused to do so. His administration has signaled that it plans to use its discretion to soften enforcement of the ban on openly gay men and lesbians serving in the military, even as Congress considers repealing the law. And the Environmental Protection Agency is moving forward with possible regulations on heat-trapping gases blamed for climate change, while a bill to cap such emissions languishes in the Senate.

In an effort to demonstrate forward momentum, the White House is also drawing more attention to the sorts of actions taken regularly by cabinet departments without much fanfare. The White House heavily promoted an export initiative announced by Commerce Secretary Gary Locke last week and nearly $1 billion in health care technology grants announced on Friday by Kathleen Sebelius, the health and human services secretary, and Hilda L. Solis, the labor secretary.

White House officials said the increased focus on executive authority reflected a natural evolution from the first year to the second year of any presidency.

“The challenges we had to address in 2009 ensured that the center of action would be in Congress,” said Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director. “In 2010, executive actions will also play a key role in advancing the agenda.”

The use of executive authority during times of legislative inertia is hardly new; former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush turned to such powers at various moments in their presidencies, and Mr. Emanuel was in the thick of carrying out the strategy during his days as a top official in the Clinton White House.

But Mr. Obama has to be careful how he proceeds because he has been critical of both Mr. Clinton’s penchant for expending presidential capital on small-bore initiatives, like school uniforms, and Mr. Bush’s expansive assertions of executive authority, like the secret program of wiretapping without warrants.

Already, Mr. Obama has had to reconcile his campaign-trail criticism of Mr. Bush for excessive use of so-called signing statements to bypass parts of legislation with his own use of such tactics. After a bipartisan furor in Congress last year, Mr. Obama stopped issuing such signing statements, but aides said last month that he still reserves the right to ignore sections of bills he considers unconstitutional if objections have been lodged previously by the executive branch.

Another drawback of the executive power strategy is that actions taken unilaterally by the executive branch may not be as enduring as decisions made through acts of Congress signed into law by a president. For instance, while the E.P.A. has been determined to have the authority to regulate carbon emissions, the administration would rather have a market-based system of pollution permits, called cap and trade, that requires legislation.

Still, presidents have logged significant accomplishments through the stroke of a pen. In 1996, on his own authority, Mr. Clinton turned a 2,600-square-mile section of southern Utah into the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, in what was called at the time his boldest environmental move. Mr. Bush followed suit in 2006 by designating a 140,000-square-mile stretch of islands and ocean near Hawaii as the largest protected marine reserve in the world, in what some see as his most lasting environmental achievement.

The use of executive power came to a head this week when Mr. Obama confronted Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Republican leader, about nominations held up in the Senate. In a meeting with Congressional leaders at the White House on Tuesday, Mr. Obama turned to Mr. McConnell and vowed to use his power to appoint officials during Senate recesses if his nominations were not cleared.

By Thursday, the Senate had voted to confirm 27 of 63 nominations that had been held up, and the White House declared victory. Two administration officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Friday that the White House had drafted a list of about a dozen nominees for the president to appoint during the recess that just began, but most were among those cleared.

Mr. McConnell’s office denied that the president’s threat had anything to do with the confirmations, pointing out that the Senate regularly passes a batch of nominees before going on recess.

“All presidents get frustrated with the pace of nominations, and all Congresses say they’re doing their best, so it’s not a surprise,” said Don Stewart, a spokesman for Mr. McConnell. “But the fact is nominees are being confirmed, particularly those nominated since December.”

The recess appointment power stems from the days when lawmakers were in session only part of the year, but in modern times presidents have used it to circumvent opposition in the Senate. Mr. Clinton made 139 recess appointments, 95 of them to full-time positions, while Mr. Bush made 171, with 99 to full-time jobs. Mr. Obama has yet to make any.

Those given such appointments can serve until the end of the next Congressional session. As a senator, Mr. Obama was less enamored with recess appointments. When Mr. Bush used the power to install John R. Bolton as ambassador to the United Nations, Mr. Obama called Mr. Bolton “damaged goods.”

But the White House argued that Mr. Obama’s choices have been held up more than Mr. Bush’s and left open the prospect of giving recess appointments to some of those still held up, including Craig Becker, a labor lawyer whose nomination for a seat on the National Labor Relations Board has been blocked.

“If the stalling tactics continue,” said Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary, “he’s not ruling out using recess appointments for anybody that he’s nominated.”

Debka has apparently had this same headline since February 3rd so it's a bit dated.

Good photos of anti-Islamic regime demonstration - Bilingual

Are you still surprised that so many stupidly voted for Obama?
Also see next article below this.

That kind of honor and decency exists but is fading from
Obama's America.

Jennifer Daugherty, a mentally disabled woman in rural Pennsylvania allegedly suffered unimaginable horrors at the hands of her killers, who her father says pretended to be her friends.

They fed her vegetable oil, spices, detergent, urine and medications, then forced her to write a suicide note, before they stabbed her to death, wrapped her in plastic, put her in a garbage can and dumped her in a school parking lot, police and relatives said Friday.

Six people have been charged.

The head of the 30-year-old had been shaved, and she had been bound with Christmas decorations and clothing; she also was hit with a towel rack, vacuum cleaner hose and a crutch, according to an affidavit.

Six people were charged with criminal homicide, kidnapping and related charges in the death of Daugherty, who was missing since Monday and whose body was found Thursday at Greensburg Salem Middle School, about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Charged were Robert Loren Masters Jr., 36, Ricky Smyrnes, 23, Melvin Knight, 20, Amber Meidinger, 20, all of Greensburg; a 17-year-old girl from Greensburg; and Peggy Darlene Miller, 27, of Mount Pleasant Township. All were being held without bond in the Westmoreland County prison. It was not clear whether they had attorneys.

Stepfather Bobby Murphy, 62, of Mount Pleasant, told The Associated Press that the victim had the mental abilities of a 12 to 14-year-old.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Knight admitted stabbing Daugherty in the chest, side and neck, and he and Smyrnes carried her body to the parking lot. All six defendants admitted their involvement and implicated others, according to police.

A man found Daugherty's body Thursday morning when he saw the plastic garbage can partially beneath his truck.

"One thing I can tell you is there is no reason for them to do what they did to Jennifer," Murphy said. "Jennifer was just a gentle, laid-back person.

"There wasn't a mean bone in her body."

I dont forward these anymore, but I will forward this one.

Cemetery Watchman ...

I just wanted to get the day over with and go down to Smokey's. Sneaking a look at my watch, I saw the time, 1655. Five minutes to go before the cemetery gates are closed for the day. Full dress was hot in the August sun. Oklahoma summertime was as bad as ever--the heat and humidity at the same level--both too high.

I saw the car pull into the drive, '69 or '70 model Cadillac Deville, looked factory-new. It pulled into the parking lot at a snail's pace.. An old woman got out so slow I thought she was paralyzed; she had a cane and a sheaf of flowers--about four or five bunches as best I could tell.

I couldn't help myself. The thought came unwanted, and left a slightly bitter taste: 'She's going to spend an hour, and for this old soldier, my hip hurts like hell and I'm ready to get out of here right now!' But for this day, my duty was to assist anyone coming in.

Kevin would lock the 'In' gate and if I could hurry the old biddy along, we might make it to Smokey's in time.

I broke post attention. My hip made gritty noises when I took the first step and the pain went up a notch. I must have made a real military sight: middle-aged man with a small pot gut and half a limp, in marine full-dress uniform, which had lost its razor crease about thirty minutes after I began the watch at the cemetery.

I stopped in front of her, halfway up the walk. She looked up at me with an old woman's squint.

'Ma'am,may I assist you in any way?'

She took long enough to answer.

'Yes, son. Can you carry these flowers? I seem to be moving a tad slow these days.'

'My pleasure, ma'am.' Well, it wasn't too much of a lie.

She looked again. 'Marine, where were you stationed?'

' Vietnam, ma'am.. Ground-pounder. '69 to '71.'

She looked at me closer. 'Wounded in action, I see. Well done, Marine. I'll be as quick as I can.'

I lied a little bigger: 'No hurry, ma'am.'

She smiled and winked at me. 'Son, I'm 85-years-old and I can tell a lie from a long way off.. Let's get this done. Might be the last time I can do this. My name's Joanne Wieserman, and I've a few Marines I'd like to see one more time.'

'Yes, ma 'am. At your service.'

She headed for the World War I section, stopping at a stone. She picked one of the flowers out of my arm and laid it on top of the stone. She murmured something I couldn't quite make out.. The name on the marble was Donald S. Davidson, USMC: France 1918.

She turned away and made a straight line for the World War II section, stopping at one stone. I saw a tear slowly tracking its way down her cheek. She put a bunch on a stone; the name was Stephen X.Davidson, USMC, 1943.

She went up the row a ways and laid another bunch on a stone, Stanley J. Wieserman, USMC, 1944..

She paused for a second. 'Two more, son, and we'll be done'

I almost didn't say anything, but, 'Yes, ma'am. Take your time.'

She looked confused.. 'Where's the Vietnam section, son? I seem to have lost my way.'

I pointed with my chin. 'That way, ma'am.'

'Oh!' she chuckled quietly. 'Son, me and old age ain't too friendly.'

She headed down the walk I'd pointed at. She stopped at a couple of stones before she found the ones she wanted. She placed a bunch on Larry Wieserman, USMC, 1968, and the last on Darrel Wieserman, USMC, 1970. She stood there and murmured a few words I still couldn't make out.

'OK, son, I'm finished. Get me back to my car and you can go home.'

Yes, ma'am. If I may ask, were those your kinfolk?'

She paused. 'Yes, Donald Davidson was my father, Stephen was my uncle, Stanley was my husband, Larry and Darrel were our sons. All killed in action, all marines.'

She stopped. Whether she had finished, or couldn't finish, I don't know. She made her way to her car, slowly and painfully.
I waited for a polite distance to come between us and then double-timed it over to Kevin, waiting by the car.
'Get to the 'Out' gate quick.. I have something I've got to do.'

Kevin started to say something, but saw the look I gave him. He broke the rules to get us there down the service road. We beat her. She hadn't made it around the rotunda yet.

'Kevin, stand at attention next to the gatepost. Follow my lead.' I humped it across the drive to the other post.

When the Cadillac came puttering around from the hedges and began the short straight traverse to the gate, I called in my best gunny's voice: 'TehenHut! Present Haaaarms!'

I have to hand it to Kevin; he never blinked an eye--full dress attention and a salute that would make his DI proud.
She drove through that gate with two old worn-out soldiers giving her a send-off she deserved, for service rendered to her country, and for knowing duty, honor and sacrifice.

I am not sure, but I think I saw a salute returned from that Cadillac.

Instead of 'The End,' just think of 'Taps.'

As a final thought on my part, let me share a favorite prayer: 'Lord, keep our servicemen and women safe, whether they serve at home or overseas. Hold them in your loving hands and protect them as they protect us.'

Let's all keep those currently serving and those who have gone before in our thoughts. They are the reason for the many freedoms we enjoy.

'In God We Trust.'

Sorry about your monitor; it made mine blurry too!

If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under!
You are required to pass this on NOW!!

Buses used to bring in regime demonstrators, who were provided food, offered free event and travel tickets only available once they showed up and all government employees (forced to attend) were given a one week vacation.slogans.

During the night, anti-regime demostrators fanned out and disabled loud speakers put up by the regime to shout out slogans.

Several of these were also rewired and began broadcasting the Royal anthem!

In addition to beatings like of this young man below, Zahra Rahnevard, wife of Green movement leader Mousavi was set upon by Bassiji forces and beaten with batons till her followers rushed in and rescued her.

Another Green leader ayatollah Karroubi decided to walk the last few hundred yards to where he intended to take part in the demonstration. He was also set upon by Bassiji suppression forces and badly beaten and his clothes ended up badly torn and he was taken to hospital by a group of supporters who defended and rescued him. HIs face received burns in this attack.

Karroubi's son was also arrested and has disappeared into the regime secret prison system. The same prisons his father had publicly criticized for rape and torture abuses, which now his son will face.

Meanwhile former President Khatami's brother and daughter were arrested but later released with the warning not to praticipate in the crowd gatherings.

Reports from around the country indicate Bassiji forces fired shots into the crowds and several people were killed including a 27-year old woman like Neda.

CNN video - annoying how they use the Islamic Iran flag as a marker as if giving the Mullahs approval of their actions.

Posters of Khamenei torn down by angry crowds and stomped upon in teh second video below

EVIN prison had demonstrators start a vigil in the very early hours of the morning and later joined by others who were shouting slogans that political prisoners should be freed.

Shouts of "Referendum" were heard here to indicated that the regime and form of government should be changed by putting it to the vote of the people.

Death to Russia. Hard to hear but it seems as if the loudspeaker shouts out death to America but the crowd responds with Death to Russia!

The February 11th, pro and anti-Regime struggle this time around could well be called a draw. With such a heavy show of strength by the Suppression Forces the UNARMED Green movement was unable to put a big enough crowd into the streets and the regime proved unable to put on the "huge financial blow to the West" as threatened, nor the eradication of Israel as also "promised" for February 11th.

With the enormous pressure brought to bear against the opposition and demonstrators, the tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands across the nation, who did come into the streets in fragmented opposition also mingled with the pro-regime crowds and shouted anti-regime slogans. Surprisingly, they were not attacked by those who surrounded them!

Note that  many  hundreds of key opposition persons, specially students,  were arrested the day before and removed from participating in the the deadly struggle for freedom.

As Ken shows below, Oba-Hussein, America's Khomeini, my VOICE OF AMERICA, will not even do it well and will protect the emotions of your leaders in case they stop sending me money. (Comment and emphasis by Alan)

By: Ken Timmerman

An internal struggle within the Voice of America (VOA) over its news coverage of Iran is spewing outside the agency as veteran staffers claim the channel tilts coverage in favor of the Tehran regime.

The divisions erupted in late January when VOA chiefs removed a popular TV anchorman from the flagship U.S. broadcast into Iran, after he and about 30 Persian-speaking broadcasters had a confrontational meeting with VOA Director Danforth Austin, Newsmax has learned.

The broadcasters, who work for VOA’s Persian service in Washington, D.C., challenged the editorial judgment of two senior managers because they banned stories about the violent crackdown on protesters in Tehran in recent months.

“What motivates us to be here is that we have the best interest of [VOA] at heart. . . at this crucial moment in history when Iran is front and center of U.S. foreign policy and the Iranian public are looking to VOA for top-notice journalism,” one of those present at the meeting told Austin.

VOA is a taxpayer-funded multimedia network with a $194 million budget that employs 1,300 people worldwide to “broadcast accurate, balanced, and comprehensive news and information to an international audience,” according to its Web site.

The Persian-language version of the VOA got special attention for its ability to do reach Iranians in the period after 9/11.

The broadcasters criticized Alex Belida, acting director of the Persian News Network (PNN), for “poor editorial judgment” and a lack of understanding of Iran and Iranian affairs. Belida does not speak or read Persian.

They also pushed to reform the Persian service’s organization, in line with the conclusions of a March 2009 audit by the State Department’s Office of Inspector General (OIG).

Austin pledged not to retaliate against the VOA whistle blowers, according to several broadcasters at the meeting. But just one week later, Belida demoted VOA’s top Persian on-air personality, Ali Bijan Farhoodi, one of the self-avowed “ringleaders” of the meeting with Austin, and another top broadcaster, Setareh Derakhshesh.

Belida also announced that he was promoting a 27-year-old novice producer with rudimentary Persian-language skills to be executive editor of the entire Persian language TV operation.

Farhoodi made public his departure as anchorman during a live broadcast of his highly respected talk show, “48 Hours,” which is known as “First Two Days” in Farsi. VOA viewers set up a Persian-language Facebook page calling on management to “return Mr. Ali Farhoodi to his place in front of the camera” that attracted 700 supporters in two days.

“Ali Farhoodi is one of the best talents at PNN,” said Faraj Ardalan, a former colleague. “He has a tremendous command of both English and Persian, something that is rare in that office.”

The whistle-blower dispute is erupting just as the Broadcasting Board of Governors submits a $768.8 million fiscal year 2011 budget request to Congress that asks for additional funds for Persian language TV broadcasts into Iran.

When Newsmax investigated the controversy, VOA Public Affairs Director Joan Mowers issued a statement saying, “There has been no retaliation against any PNN employees.”

The statement acknowledged Austin’s meeting with the broadcasters, saying, “Austin has an open-door policy, and frequently meets with VOA services to discuss various issues.”

Newsmax has interviewed more than a dozen sources for this story with direct knowledge of these events, including current and former broadcasters from the VOA Persian language service, many of whom spoke on condition of anonymity out of fear of retaliation.

We also sent a lengthy series of written questions to VOA’s Alex Belida and have incorporated his responses in our story.

The Persian service has been plagued with problems for decades, as exiled broadcasters with competing political agendas vied for influence in byzantine backroom disputes.

But since the student uprising in July 1999, a new generation of broadcasters has come to America to join VOA. Many still have close family members back in Iran, and the regime has exerted pressure on those relatives in several instances to coerce VOA journalists to tone down their reporting.

With strong support from Congress, the Bush administration engineered a dramatic expansion of U.S. government Persian-language broadcasting in 2006.

In just two years, VOA’s renamed Persian News Network went from 30 full-time employees to 83, with another 120 contractors. That rapid expansion has not come without a cost, as non-Persian speaking editors and producers were put in charge of programs whose content they couldn’t understand.

The inspector general’s March 2009 audit described the rapid growth as “a huge challenge to management,” and said VOA’s mixed-language management had become “the source of confusion and sometimes of conflict.

“Lacking the language of the programs they oversee, as well as a background in Iranian affairs, executive producers must rely on their managing editor to approve the shows’ content and resolve differences of opinion among staff,” the OIG audit found.

The VOA management’s failure to rectify the problems prompted the broadcasters to seek the Jan. 21 audience with Austin.

Belida relies on the language expertise and cultural background of executive editor Ali Sajadi, whose views have been criticized by many Persian-language broadcasters and VOA guests as being too soft on the Iranian regime.

The VOA whistle-blowers cited several of Belida’s and Sajadi’s editorial decisions in recent months to support their claims that they have not been using U.S. taxpayer dollars wisely.

The most dramatic was a refusal to air video footage of Neda Agha-soltan, a 26-year-old bystander whose murder during a post-election demonstration on June 20 catalyzed the protests and transformed them overnight into an anti-regime movement.

The Neda murder was captured on cell phone cameras and went viral across the Internet in just minutes. The BBC and CNN ran the footage almost immediately. But Sajadi told newscasters not to air it because he felt it was too violent.

VOA relented several days later, once Neda’s murder became an international cause célèbre.

Belida defended that decision, saying that there “was discussion on how much to show out of deference to the girl… and initially, we only played a portion but later we played it all.”

Many VOA reporters are former dissidents who are plugged into the student movement. Many have been jailed in Iran and brought a valuable new perspective to the network.

A fired reporter, Ardeshir Zarezadeh, told Newsmax, Ali Sajadi was selecting the news, instead of letting me report the truth.”

VOA fired Zarezadeh without notice last summer after he clashed with Sajadi and Belida about interviewing protesters and their family members.

“We were told to report on non-political subjects and not to report stories that were embarrassing to the Islamic Republic,” he said. (!!!!!!!)

Belida disputed that claim, insisting that the network “does not shy away from any stories” and its coverage of the protests “was exemplary.”

Zarezadeh, an award-winning journalist in Iran who was a good catch for PNN, told Newsmax: “I cannot believe this type of thing (censorship) is happening in a free country.”

One former dissident still working for VOA nearly was fired last summer until he filed a complaint with Broadcasting Board of Governors Office of Civil Rights. He declined to speak with Newsmax on the record for fear of losing his job.

Scott Carpenter, a former deputy assistant secretary of state, severely criticized VOA’s Persian language broadcasting during congressional testimony last week.

Poorly managed by people who do not know Iran or its politics, PNN's journalistic professionalism currently meets only minimal standards. Most of VOA's 200 employees lack any television experience beyond what they have gained at VOA, for example,” he told the Middle East Subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

VOA managers trim coverage to eliminate anything that the regime might view as threatening, he said.

“To cite just one example, on the day after the death of Ayatollah Montazeri, when the BBC Persian Service was blanketing Iranian airwaves with coverage similar to that given in the United States to pop star Michael Jackson's passing last summer, PNN was airing documentaries on global warming.

Indicative of its lack of impact is the fact that (Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali) Khamenei rails against the BBC Persian Service but rarely mentions VOA.”

Belida called that claim “nonsense,” and said VOA “devoted extensive coverage to Montazeri’s death and its impact.”

But one Persian-language broadcaster told Newsmax: “I feel ashamed to be working at VOA. We are starting to look like Press TV,” an (Iranian)  regime-controlled English network that glosses over the regime’s violence and corruption.

Several VOA reporters and producers told Newsmax that:

the pressures to exclude anti-regime political content from their broadcasts has intensified as young reporters close to a pro-Tehran lobby in Washington have risen to top positions within VOA.

(Alan note: the Mullahs are spending a fortune to infiltrate all Iran related media, regardless of language and this sick, maggot like eating into VOA can be seen in other Persian media, including TV and radio broadcasts)

The National Iranian-American Council sent an e-mail to Sen. Barbara Mikulski’s office from the National Iranian-American Council asking for help “cleaning house” at the VOA Farsi service. The council (totally pro-Mullah regime) has lobbied against sanctions against Iran and urged a cut-off in pro-democracy funding.

During the run-up to the June 12 presidential elections, Sajadi and Belida discouraged VOA reporters and producers from inviting guests who were calling for an election boycott, as Newsmax reported at the time, in “State Department Backs 'Reformists' in Wild Iranian Election.”

Belida justified that decision in his written replies to questions from Newsmax.

“As I told the staff in my News Notes on April 9th, 2009: ‘While there are those who consider the elections undemocratic, we also know there are Iranians who take their participation in the vote quite seriously. We must respect their beliefs. We cannot simply dismiss the balloting or focus only on explaining flaws in Iran’s electoral system. If a guest or contributor, for example, should encourage a boycott of the polls, a host must never signal his or her personal approval of such a suggestion and must in fact challenge the guest or contributor.’”

Complaints about VOA management go beyond the Persian language service.

Tim Shamble, president of Local 1812 of the American Federation of Government Employees, which covers many VOA employees, complained more than two years ago about the “old-fashioned dictatorial management style” throughout VOA.

“We are supposedly interested in promoting democracy around the world, but democracy is the last thing the management here is interested in,” he said. “They would rather micromanage and rule through fear and intimidation rather than providing the employees with the tools and support they need to excel and then stepping out of the way.”
