A REVIEW OF FEBRUARY 11TH IN IRAN

REZA PAHLAVI SPEAKS to MSNBC

Buses used to bring in regime demonstrators, who were provided food, offered free event and travel tickets only available once they showed up and all government employees (forced to attend) were given a one week vacation.slogans.

During the night, anti-regime demostrators fanned out and disabled loud speakers put up by the regime to shout out slogans.

Several of these were also rewired and began broadcasting the Royal anthem!

In addition to beatings like of this young man below, Zahra Rahnevard, wife of Green movement leader Mousavi was set upon by Bassiji forces and beaten with batons till her followers rushed in and rescued her.

Another Green leader ayatollah Karroubi decided to walk the last few hundred yards to where he intended to take part in the demonstration. He was also set upon by Bassiji suppression forces and badly beaten and his clothes ended up badly torn and he was taken to hospital by a group of supporters who defended and rescued him. HIs face received burns in this attack.

Karroubi's son was also arrested and has disappeared into the regime secret prison system. The same prisons his father had publicly criticized for rape and torture abuses, which now his son will face.

Meanwhile former President Khatami's brother and daughter were arrested but later released with the warning not to praticipate in the crowd gatherings.

Reports from around the country indicate Bassiji forces fired shots into the crowds and several people were killed including a 27-year old woman like Neda.

CNN video - annoying how they use the Islamic Iran flag as a marker as if giving the Mullahs approval of their actions.

Posters of Khamenei torn down by angry crowds and stomped upon in teh second video below

EVIN prison had demonstrators start a vigil in the very early hours of the morning and later joined by others who were shouting slogans that political prisoners should be freed.

Shouts of "Referendum" were heard here to indicated that the regime and form of government should be changed by putting it to the vote of the people.

Death to Russia. Hard to hear but it seems as if the loudspeaker shouts out death to America but the crowd responds with Death to Russia!

HEAVY SUPPRESSION FORCES WERE DEPLOYED AND IN SOME LOCATIONS LIKE OUTSIDE THE REGIME SEDA VA SIMA BROADCASTING STATION SOME TANKS WERE BROUGHT TO PROTECT IT FROM A TAKEOVER.

The February 11th, pro and anti-Regime struggle this time around could well be called a draw. With such a heavy show of strength by the Suppression Forces the UNARMED Green movement was unable to put a big enough crowd into the streets and the regime proved unable to put on the "huge financial blow to the West" as threatened, nor the eradication of Israel as also "promised" for February 11th.

With the enormous pressure brought to bear against the opposition and demonstrators, the tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands across the nation, who did come into the streets in fragmented opposition also mingled with the pro-regime crowds and shouted anti-regime slogans. Surprisingly, they were not attacked by those who surrounded them!

Note that  many  hundreds of key opposition persons, specially students,  were arrested the day before and removed from participating in the the deadly struggle for freedom.
